The fried clams were just fine, and worth the trip if in the area. We are just visiting, so I can’t really compare it to any other local place. The clam chowder had whole steamers - good, but not typical.

Most Mainers eat fried haddock sandwiches, not lobster. This place has the best. Huge, perfectly cooked, with a mountain of fresh fries. Go for it!

Stopped for the blueberry pie, then added lobster stew, and fried clams. Everything tasted great. They have nice outdoor seating.

I love lobster rolls. But I have never had them as fantastic as the ones at Gurnet's! We visited friends on Orrs Island for a week and had these twice for lunch! Talk about lobster! These are filled with big chunks of meat from all...More
