This place was a referral for me. Not fancy. Very casual. Interesting views from the window seating as you sit on top of the cliff. Lobster roll was good. Service was good. I would go back as it was a pleasant and memorable experience. I had the fish chowder which was delicious as well. You will be glad you went.... More

We had supper, then breakfast the next morning while staying at the Colony Motel. Excellent food and service!

If you are looking for ambience, this place has it in spades. It's a funky little place next to the Penobscot River that always has a full parking lot and sometimes a waiting line. It's a small place with a few old booths and table seating in the middle. The EN is known for its generous lobster roll, but equally... More

We arrived right at one and were surprised to be seated immediately at the counter. I chose the lobster roll and was not disappointed. The lobster was tender, perfectly seasoned ands a generous serving. The fish chowder that my wife chose was a huge bowl filled with tender haddock and potatoes in a very light cream stock. Absolutely delicious. No... More

We have been here on several occasions to give them another chance solely because everyone always says they love it. On one occasion our seafood was very overcooked and rubbery but we had great service with a super nice waitress, the second time we got takeout and again the seafood although plentiful did not taste good, and third visit the... Our friends had been there several times. We went before heading to the airport. It doesn't look like much from the outside. There are only about 15 tables. Nice view of the river. No outside seating, you would be the river. We had the lobster roll with homemade onion rings. I think there must have been a half pound of... More

HUGE Lobster roll (1/2#+ of lightly mayonnaised large chunks of lobster). Price is high but that late lunch is so large that dinner will not be needed. Add a great view of the Penobscot River where the restaurant sits on the bank.

What a surprise very unassuming building that held a great meal! A little pricy but worth every penny my friend and I shared a seafood platter that was more than enough we ended up still taking some home! Friendly service not a bad wait time, don't expect anything fancy because it's far from it but it's very comfortable and worth... More

Wanted seafood, but I'm too cheap and it is pricey here. Husband and I had sandwiches. They were pretty good, not the best. Everyone else there was eating seafood and it did look delicious. If you are looking for great seafood meals and aren't worried about money I would highly recommend this place. Family and friends have all eaten the... More

This is a nice place to bring out of town guests. The place isn't fancy, but we have visited it many times and the seafood never disappoints. Prices are very reasonable and portions are generous. They are offering whoopie pies for dessert regularly now, if you need another reason to give the place a visit.
