My wife and I stopped here for an early dinner. Sufficient parking, which there isn't much of in Boothbay Harbor. You order at the window and they bring you the food. My wife ordered the fried seafood combo and I the fried clams. Both arrived over fried and too brown. I ate mine, they were crunchy, but still tasty. My... More

The long line at the order window almost deterred us, but we stayed and we were happy we did....and the line moved quickly. The multi-tiered deck with picnic tables many with umbrellas insures that everyone can find a place to eat and view the harbor from wherever they are sitting. The seafood was wonderful including Shrimp Cocktail, Steamers, the Schooner... More

My wife and I travel to Maine every year and we have eaten at several waterfront lobster shack type restaurants. This one ranks at the bottom of all the ones that we have visited. Eating Lobster can be quite messy and the dining tables in the upper deck had not been cleaned in a while. Ordering food is somewhat confusing.... More

Enjoyed the location and very friendly staff. Steamers were excellent and plenty of them! Fried haddock was average and the plastic containers of cole slaw and potato salad were fine. Location was great with nice blues music and happy European servers.Picnic tables w/ umbrellas made for an easy casual evening looking back at the town across the harbour..

The Lobster Dock does just exactly what you want a small coastal town Maine restaurant to do - it offers fresh local seafood prepared in enough ways that everyone is going to find something he or she likes, even your picky Aunt Sarah with her mishegas about the "the clams, they used to be so much bigger, is the butter... A great place to bring family and friends to have some delicious lobster and believe it or not great steaks!!! The lobster rolls are very fresh tasting with succulent pieces of lobster and the coleslaw is nice and fresh and crunchy. The lobster stew was to die for!!! Get a pitcher of beer with your dinners and enjoy the view... More

We were traveling down the coast and wanted to catch one more lobster dinner before leaving Maine. There are a number of places but we chose the Lobster dock with no regrets. The staff does a great job and the food is fresh and served quickly. We managed to catch a sunset while we were dining and recommend TLD for... More

Great food, large portions, friendly staff and the owner is almost always on site, which says a lot not only shows he takes pride in his restaurant but checks to see how the guest are doing. The views of the harbor are beautiful, watching the boats come and go and of course the food is outstanding. A must visit when... More

I had breaded scallops. good. not great. The mussels were small and not great either. Maybe they were small because they were local and I am used to Prince Edward Island mussels. Food is fast format, not gourmet boutique. I think getting a boiled lobster best choice. hard to get that wrong. Overall, ok. Great view on the harbor.

There is nothing to dislike at Lobster Dock if you want the freshest lobster available, ice cold beer and so yum blueberry pie. The view from the tiered decks is spectacular. Most picnic tables have umbrellas so it is comfortable during the day. Are you there yet?

Locally caught lobster is our specialty. Several hundred pounds are stored in our sea water tank. You may select your own from the tank and watch as they are prepared for cooking in our large outdoor pots. We have all sizes of the tasty shellfish, from one to four pounds. To those new to lobster, we will gladly assist on how to best eat them and explain the differences between hard and soft shell. The Outdoor Patio at The Lobster Dock The flavor of Maine is further captured in our other offerings. Stews and chowders are prepared daily from only the freshest ingredients. The shrimp and scallops we use are caught in the waters of the Boothbay Region. Clams are also supplied by local diggers most every day. Our mussels are grown on a salt water farm in Tenants Harbor. Fish caught in the North Atlantic are supplied to us from Boothbay Fish Dealers. We accept only the freshest available. It is not unusual for us to refuse deliveries that do not meet our quality standards.
