The fish is always fresh and perfectly fried. There is lovely are to sit and eat at picnic tables, or you can take your meal to go. Dogs are welcome. We come often. This is a true local gem.

This time we went twice. Excellent both times. Bet has a way of frying the haddock so it is perfectly cooked and not greasy. Bet herself always gets a laugh a laugh from me

Bet's fish and chips is world class! I have never talked with anyone that didn't love their fish!!! A half order should be perfect for most people . . . a whole order is way too much for me! The fries are a combination or chips and fries - very tasty!

Fresh haddock in everyday. We split a half sandwich and fries. The best we've ever had! Still reminiscing about it.

Always fun to stop for fried haddock and fries. Portions are huge. Everything is cooked to order. Be sure and try the dill tarter sauce.

When you're doing something right, you don't change a darn thing! Thank goodness that's Bet's Fish Fry. Perfectly fried fresh fish and some amazing hand cut 'chips'. Add to that winning combo some of the best tarter sauce you'll ever put in your mouth and you'll be screaming: "OH YEAH BABY"!! SO if you're in the state of Maine, I... More

We miss the great fish in New England so on vacation we stopped at Bet's again!! The tartar sauce was great too. Bet's is closed from 2 PM to 5 PM so time your visit appropriately

We stopped here after going to the botanical gardens - glad we did! The menu is fried fish and chips - and that's it. But the food is deliciously fresh and very plentiful - I think a half order is enough for two people. The outside seating is shaded with big umbrellas. Overall a highly enjoyable lunch!

Traditional family stop at annual Maine vacation. One order of fish and chips was lunch for 3 kids and I (wife was shopping). New picnic tables with umbrellas are pleasant to enjoy the food. Agreeing with other reviewer's favorable posts. Bet's does a consistent, good job. Interested if anyone ever gets the "free beer tomorrow". This year they have a... More

....And you get success. We've watched this little place grow over the years from a little shack to something of a destination. This is the perfect example of how to do one thing and do it well. We ordered a "half fish and chips" and it fed two of us. It was a nice slab of perfectly battered, fried fish... More
