I was in for breakfast on a short visit. I had a veggie omelette with toast and grits. The omelette was good but not amazing. BUT! What I really wanted was to try the pie. I was torn between strawberry and butterscotch, but I went for the strawberry. It was really delicious! The strawberries were fresh and the topping is... More

Ate here for breakfast on a Sunday while visiting family in the Shreveport area. Food was really good. Pricing was excellent. And service was commendable. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Shreveport area. Based on the crowd it is apparent that the locals find this a good place to eat.

I had the meatloaf special. It wasn't bad but nothing to write home about. Place was clean and staff was friendly.

Our family organizes our visit with family and friends around a meal at Strawn's. Although we all live out of state now, we make it a point eat here. I try to make it in the evening so I can order the fried chicken. It's been perfect and delicious every single time I've ordered for the past 30+ years. I... More

I visited this location of Strawn's on a Saturday morning because of the positive reviews that I had read. I understand that this is a flagship establishment in the Shreveport area and we were fortunate to find an empty table when we arrived. That being said, I was disappointed because the quality of the breakfast did not live up to... More

On our way back to DFW from BTR we stopped in for an early dinner. The menu was limited due to the time we arrived. Between lunch and dinner specials. We ordered the hamburger steak with mashed potatoes, greenbeans, salad and butter buns. The server, Karen was prompt and welcoming. Our food was out in 10 min. Our hamburger steak... More

I love this place! I'm from Pennsylvania and I was lucky enough to marry a Shreveport girl. This is one of a three places that I throw a total and complete fit if I don't get to eat at while visiting her family.

The pork loin and chicken fried steak are terrific! The salad leaves something to be desired, just some shredded iceberg lettuce and barely a bite of tomato, but the hot food and pies make up for it. Parking is available, but it may fill up during the lunch rush. Bathrooms are clean. There is a pie room! Great value for... More

Nothing good ole home cooking feel good food. Grandmas cooking to Cajun flavor. Super good wait staff. Can't say enough about the menu. About 30 visits and a review was deserved.
