Lovely outdoor area, covered and uncovered. Plenty of space for the kids too. Meal nothing flash just extremely reasonable homemade meals. Burger & Chips $10 with nice homemade pattie (chicken burger good too). Definitely worth a day trip.

We sat in the beer garden whilst we waited for our bar food. Pleasant enough with some interesting motorcycles turning up from time to time although mainly Harleys. My personal feeling is that the fish was pretty average. Lightly battered but not very fleshy and quite dry. It's a nice enough spot but I've had much better fish and chips... More

Stopped in here on our way home from Whitianga. I had the best Cheeseburger with a mountain of chips for $10! my partner had the chicken burger and both were packed with all the goodies. Friendly staff, quiet location, would definitely go back

Found staff member rude and offensive not helpful at all. Asked what price the rooms, replied about $85. Did they have wifi, no dialup. Did they have a website. No because we have dialup. Can we see a room. No. So we left and will not be back.

A large group of us popped in here at the end of each day whilst staying at Miranda for a few days. Lovely old fashioned pub, lots of interesting things to look at... and just lovely to relax outside in the garden with a drink.

We stopped here to grab lunch after watching birds at Miranda Shorebird Center down the road. They have excellent bar type food. We sat out back at a wooden table with an umbrella . It seemed like a prettyu busy place. The steak sandwich was pretty fancy I thought...and chips were typical fat fries.

If you are travelling through Kaiaua along the coast it will pay for you to stop at the Kaiaua Fish & Chip Shop for a spot of the best fish and chips in or around Auckland area and then wander next door to the Bay View Hotel for a quiet drink under the trees in the garden bar. The hotel... More

As a tourist if you are tiring of modern chrome and glass hotels and you have experienced your fill of trendy cafes and eating that much ethnic food from Asia or the rest of the world and are asking “Where is the traditional Kiwi fare”, then the Bay View hotel could be just your answer. Situated on the Seabird coast... More
