This is my "Go To" spot any time I am in the area. The service is as excellent as the food. My favorite is anything Napoleon (Shrimp or Crawfish). The catfish dishes are also delicious. My husband's new favorite is Chef Roy's Special. If you are traveling I-10, plan your travels for a mealtime stop in Rayne,La at Chef Roy's.

I've tried nearly every dish but I always come back to the Seafood Gumbo. It is the best. The seafood platter gives you a taste of all varieties of seafood.

This was a recommendation from Lyn at Maison Memoire - a romantic B&B up the road and what a good recommendation it was. We wanted an easy meal but instead found amazing food at good prices and a great way to start our Louisiana travels. My wife & I shared a seafood platter and eggplant fries. This was more than... Chef Roy's is just off the interstate in the very small town of Rayne, Louisiana. Rayne used to be the frog growing capital of the world but now it's the frog mural capital of the world which is why we were there. We didn't expect more than a little cafe, but Chef Roy's is big and rather elegant. The frog... More

This is a great restaurant; good food, good atmosphere, nice bar and service. But I find the portions are small for the price paid. But for travelers trying to get some cajun food it's great.

Huge shrimp and best cocktail sauce I ever had. Ali, waitress was adorable and brought out everything my cousin and I could want. Even adjusted the temp in the restaurant for us. If you're looking for authentic downhome Cajun Cuisine, it's just off interstate 10 in Rayne LA. Highly recommend and am glad my cousin lives five minutes away!!! Thanks... More

We made reservations for New Year's Eve. We were driving in from Texas, and made our reservations for 6:30. We arrived early and the parking lot was already full of vehicles. Chef Roy's is easy to find if you are driving on I10. It's a simple exit in Rayne. Siri can lead you there. The hostesses were welcoming and super friendly.... More

The service and atmosphere make you feel like you're at home. It's nothing fancy, but it's comfortable. The service is spot-on, and the food was very good. I decided on the half and half, which is half crawfish etouffee, and half fried shrimp. This was my first sampling of etouffee in Louisiana, and it's a bit different than other places... More

I had the Shrimp Napoleon the other night and it was great! The service with Christine was terrific and her recommendations were spot on. The shrimp and eggplant on the shrimp napoleon could not have been better. And the desert she suggested, White Chocolate bread pudding was fantastic. Unfortunately, my wife was not hungry for anything big for dinner but... More

My wife and I have dined here many times. We have always been hooked on the duck breast salad (awesome). However this time we had duck breast the night before so we opted for something new. With a little help from the owner, Robert, I ordered fried shrimp and my wife had a combination of grilled froglegs and fried shrimp.... More
