Great sandwich shop near the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. We had the shrimp poor boy and the Old Thyme Special. Cash only. Our kind of restaurant - not much on decor, but good food.

Normally we stop before we leave NOLA to have our last po'boy. We decide to leave earlier and reached Lafayette around lunch time. The shrimp and oyster po'boy was excellent as was the meatball. CASH or CHECK ONLY.

Excellent bread and special orders with poorboys. Bread and all kinds of specials make it work. My moms madien name was Robicheaux and they owned a meat market in Rayne La. I married into the Dupuis family from Lafayette, La. and it just got better. Love Old Thyme Grocery, Murph and now Ross have it going on. I use to... More

I attended ULL (then USL), many years ago. You couldn't beat Poboys from Olde Tyme! My friend and I returned yesterday after a win at Cajun Field. 20+ years later, the Poboys are still the best! I had the shrimp dressed, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and ketchup. Friend had roast beef! We both finished and were very satisfied. Lots of drinks... More

One of the best sandwiches I ever ate. The bread is what makes the sandwich the bread was not hard it was soft and fresh. I had the turkey and ham and my husband ate the shrimp poboy. When ever I come to town I will definitely come back!!!

Fantastic as usual. Got there at 12:40 ordered two poboys, place was packed but still got out of there at 1:15. Don't forget to grab your drink and chips before you pay.

First know they take cash only. Have an ATM though if needed. Both of our PB's were very good and a half is plenty. Fries were also good and nice beer selection.

Best po-boy in Lafayette. Frequented by locals. No much to look at but just great food. Try the crawfish po-boy.

My usual order is the fried shrimp salad. The shrimp is amazing, fresh, hot, well-seasoned - the best! The lettuce, on the other hand, is shredded, and I would prefer it torn - such a mess to eat! Portions are generous and they have a fair selection of dressings available, which are tasty, although I am not sure if they... More
