It was embarrassing taking staff to Dromana Estate for an end of year celebration. All the food was from a supermarket freezer. It was disgusting. There are many great places on the Peninsula, do not go here.

Tapas style food straight from the freezer. Calamari so bad, we couldn’t eat it. Pizza was really bad cheap frozen supermarket crap that you wouldn’t buy. Worst meal ever eaten on the peninsula. On a brighter note the wine is good, nice staff and venue.

Food tasted as if reheated straight from a Supermarket freezer. Wine was excellent. The setting/gardens are very nice

Very limited menu, not a lot of choice, includes packaged foods and sauces, vegetables that were from yesterday, and pork belly that was limp, old and a sauce that had been put through the microwave (with a skin on top). 1/10 is being generous.

We will start with one positive note the wine was good... But that is where it stopped, and we had tempura prawns; what was nothing tempura just crumped frozen from Safeway and deep-fried. Then we tried some mussels with garlic sauce; this was just horrible....I don't know what they did with the mussels, but they tasted like nothing, and the sauce lacked everything, just bland and tasteless. Then we had some dumplings that weren't bad but nothing special. Then we tried some pork belly what was just horrible rubbery and not worth eating. Then we thought they couldn't stuff up the pizza, but we were wrong; I don't know what they did with that but not worth eating.More

I went for a nice Sunday lunch to celebrate my mother’s birthday and it was quite disappointing. It’s a tapas style menu designed to share. We asked the waiter to have every dish come out separately so we were not rushed. The waitress said ‘yeah...yeah yeah’. The first course came out with just one dish, the dumplings which were okay. Then the tempura prawns, meatballs and pork belly came out at the same time. We had all our food within 35 mins, so much for a nice long Sunday lunch... The pork belly were 3 uneven pieces that lacked flavour and crispiness. They were basically just fat. On our way out we mentioned it was average quality food and we didn’t want all the dishes out at the same time but this was met with the same old ‘yeah yeah yeah’ service. I would avoid this place if I was you.More

Arrived at around 12.30 for a nice relaxed Sunday lunch. Wine order was taken and served quickly. Our food order was then taken by another waitress. I specifically asked if we could have the tapas style dishes bought out one at a time with a...gap in between, however we had all four dishes served within 35 minutes. Ridiculous. The food quality is average with all dishes being something you could get from Coles and reheated. Dumplings ok but were served with a sweet chilli bottled sauce, followed by tempura prawns. Well they were literally just frozen battered prawns deep fried served again with the bottle sweet chilli sauce. The meatballs were good - but hey - just add 2 slices of bread and an extra scoop of sauce and it takes the dish to another level. The pork belly was 3 uneven fatty pieces of soggy pork belly. Really not nice. On departure we were asked how everything was - our reply was very average. She asked if it was the wine - well no - then I explained about the timing of the meals and the quality and portion sizes. Seemed oblivious to my reply and just said sorry about that and handed us the bill.More

We hope our first time experience was just a one off, but it will take a lot of convincing for us to go back there. After an hour drive we arrive for our booking at 12.30pm. At 12.40 we were informed that 5 items of...the limited 12 items on the Tapas menu was unavailable. At that time we ordered the cheese board and a bottle of wine, which arrived half hour later. When this was brought to us at 1.10pm we ordered 3 other Tapas items, which did not arrive even at 2.20pm when we finally had enough and decided to leave. But to their credit they apologized and did not charge us the $75 owed for the 2 items we had and the staff were very polite. We felt really bad for them. This is the only reason I am giving them 2 stars.More

My Mission was to discover a Rosé that I actually liked, then BAM I found Dromana! I HIGHLY recommend the Rosé here. All other wines are also fabulous but for me, the Rosé hit the spot. The team was so lovely and funny! Can’t wait...to go back!!More

We often go to Dromana Estate for lunch and it never disappoints. The food and wine is delicious and the staff are super friendly, warm and attentive without hovering around annoyingly. Pauline, Julie, Teagan, Angelique, Kylie and Sophie are all lovely and a delight to...be served by. The setting is very pleasing, you can sit inside or outside or in between in a curtained area so there is a place for all seasons. It's warm in winter with a lovely open fire and they thankfully crank up the AC on hot days in summer. You can even bring your pooch if dining outside in the alfresco area. As I said the food is delicious with our favourites being the croquettes, slow cooked beef short rib which melts in the mouth, pork belly, and the super tasty home cut chips. The wines are superb especially our favourite the Fume Blanc which has a wonderful thick and smokey flavour. One of the best aspects is the pricing which is really very reasonable especially compared with other winery eateries on the peninsula. There is plenty of parking and it's one of the closer wineries to Melbourne. So what is not to love?More
