Janohn's has the best food in this area hands down! We have been here several times and they never disappoint. My favorite dish is their shrimp and grits. It's very flavorful and filling. I also love the variety of fish they offer and the many different ways they offer to prepare them for you. Another favorite of mine is the... More

While they don't have a variety of oysters, the one type they do have is fabulous!!!! Mouth watering & priced well! I have been several times with coworkers & we have ordered about 5-6 appetizers to share and each one was superb!! Haven't had anything I didn't like so far!

Wow! Best Surprise in Central Louisiana. Everything we ordered was the best anywhere in this area. Superb! Can't wait to go back. Very special evening.

We have been wanting to experience the restaurant. We have heard a lot about the chef. First off, the building is a old mill. Looks like it might collapse. We parked in grass parking lot. The interior is not what you would expect. They have modernized the interior. Not a large area for eating. Not many tables, with a very... More

We went to Janohns tonight, simply because I'd heard such good things about this restaurant and wanted to try it. Fine dining in a casual atmosphere WAY off the beaten track....you're ok dressed up or in shorts, and I like that. I absolutely love the building. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and knowledgable-special thanks to Jeremy, who took very... More

Atmosphere was nice. The food was disappointing. Ribeye steak with parmesan doesn't go together. The ice cream on a board was a ripoff. Two stale waffle cones, four scoops of blue bunny and a streak of hershey for $12.

We had two people recommend driving from Natchitoches to Boyce for this restaurant (Little Eva's Pecans - great stop!) and the park ranger at Oakland Plantation. Skeptical we made the trip (30 - 40 minutes) and drove up to a middle of nowhere town with a tin roof and siding restaurant - more skeptical. What we encountered was terrific small... More

I'm in the area alot but didn't know about this place until I searched TA. It's easy to miss but worth the drive. Attentive service and great selections from steak to seafood. I will return with more guests.

Positives: -We called in a reservation, and our table was waiting for us. -The waitress was so attentive that it seemed like she was almost just waiting on us! -The food was obviously done by a professional. The negatives: - The parking is in a gravel lot, with some potholes. -There was a large group (at least 20), who were... More

Thank you for your review! Apologies about the loudness. Since we are a destination restaurant, sometimes we have to accomodate parties between 8-10 people because everyone wants to get together and come out as a group. Unfortunately, it can get a little loud. This isn't a normal experience. We want everyone to enjoy themselves as we celebrate food, and life... More

A non-descript tin building does not do justice for the wonderful interior atmosphere of this enchanting restaurant.Greeted by the owner, cared for by the wait staff-even this single diner felt well at home. Full bar, simple wine list. And the food is heavenly. I had the oyster and crayfish appetizer-I guarantee there was not a drop left on my plate of their subtle sauce. The sea bass was also elegant.Complements to John the owner and head chef and the chef de cuisine: Aaron Atchison. Wish I traveled here more often; it would be a regular stop.
