Nothing like a rootbeer float to make you feel like a kid again .... and theirs are the BEST ! I enjoy this place as often as I can - the location is a little difficult to get in and out of - but that is where it's always been - can't change that !

We stopped here to enjoy a root beer float and we certainly did. My wife considers it one of, if not the best, she's ever had. I didn't think it quite that good but it was delicious. You'll have to overlook the dirty floors and windows and the greasy spoon atmosphere, but you'll like the frosty mugs.

Very good homemade root beer and fries. The restaurant itself is small and needs to be updated. Staff was very average.

First thing is that we are a family that live in New York. Our daughter was a student at LSU, so we have been coming here for 4 years. I don't know about the quality of food but what I do know is that they have the best root beer floats that we have ever tasted. Our trip is not complete... More

We had a late lunch and ordered hamburgers, fries, onion rings, and root beer. Besides being famous for their root beer, served in a frosted mug, they should also be famous for their fries! They were extra crispy, soft in the center, and not greasy at all! When we finished our lunch, the fries we couldn't eat were still hot!... More

I was working near this location looking for some place to have lunch when someone suggested it so 2 of us walked over. The business is somewhat run down and needs work on the exterior and interior. Don't let that detour you from eating here. We had their hamburger special and it was average in quality and taste. I loved... More

Good food. The building, while having nostalgic decor, could use some upkeep after all these years. Don't change too much though, or the whole attraction as an old fashioned eatery will be lost. Frosty mug root beer was a blast from the past.

Let's be honest. You don't go to these places for the ambience. Part of the outdoor awning has been trashed by the top of a truck. The booths may be the originals, laminate peeling off of the tables, the bathrooms bordering on health code violations. But what good food at a great value. i had the Whole-lot-of burger special and... More
