We stopped for a trip coffee. We saw scallop pies and ended up having garlic prawn and scallop pie. Very light pastry and tasty filling. Worth the stop. Fast and friendly country cafe.

Nothing special from the road but step inside and enjoy a warm welcome. In many ways, a step back in time and all the better for it. A proud display of awards from local shows is unsurprising in view of the quality of the pie ($1 for gravy is worth it)

Stopped on the way to Hastings caves. The big breakfast had a ton of bacon and gorgeous tomatoes. Hit the spot and set me up for a day of exploring. Good value and great taste. Looks to be a good place forpiesand baked good as well.

This would have to be the best maker of fresh pies in the world! The pastry is buttery, flakey and just the right texture not to interfere with the taste of the fillings. The Prawn and Scallop filling has large moist succulent prawns and scallops with a creamy garlic sauce, a must to try. The staff are exceptional, with the... More

Unpleasant welcome. Meat pie pastry had a hint of sweetness to it. Sausage roll was only Luke warm. Coffee was terrible. Not a smile, p,ease or thank you in sight. Very pleasant to the locals but we got the feeling they didn't want tourists/outsiders in their space. Disappointing.

I used to frequent the Port Huon Café nearly every week. It is a lovely spot for lunch or take away, and incorporates a Post Office and small General Store. Friendly staff and lovely coffee and pies. Kids play area, and a fire for cold winter days. Great for sit down coffee and meals, or take-away/fast food.

I would gladly travel an hour or more to eat at this delightful cafe! I was with a group of 25 so we had pre-booked for two evening meals as our nearby accommodation was not suitable. Roz and her team provided food with that definite homemade flavour "just like mother used to make!" Rissoles, lasagne, fish and chips, with large... More

Had breakfast here. The big breakfast lived up to its name. Was great value and really tasty. Went back for lunch, they do home made pies. The Iconic Tassie scallop pie they do was delicious. Recommend!
