Had dinner there last night with our friends from NYC. They had read about it in the Times and said it was known for the lamb and wagyu steak. The Inn is an old home with beautiful greenery everywhere. We traveled about 15 minutes from the downtown Lexington hotels. Big tree in the front was draped in lights, which we... More

This 150+ years old home is now a restaurant owned by a very well respected Kentucky chef. Drinks on the front porch on a beautiful evening, followed by wonderful dinner, dessert, and after dinner drink (they have a full bar, but most importantly a huge bourbon selection). I started with the shrimp bisque (rich and creamy, quite good), followed by... More

I have been a little critical of this restaurant in the past. I still say that the value is a little lacking in terms of cost versus what you get, but overall MUCH better than my original comments. The service level has improved GREATLY over the last couple of years. It seems that either the Executive Chef has become more... More

My wife and I have celebrated Valentines Day here for the last 2 years and thoroughly enjoyed both visits. We enjoyed the 7 course Aphrodisiacs Menu each visit. The atmosphere is perfect, the service efficient but unobtrusive and the food is simply wonderful. Inventive and perfectly cooked. I suspect we will be returning to celebrate the holiday many times in... More

Delicious fine dining experience. This place stands apart because it is approachable and not pretentious. The staff are relaxed and helpful and the building is beautiful. Some of the best food I've had, and an extensive drinks menu. If you are out on the Bourbon Trail or exploring horse farms, don't miss this gem.

My friend and I celebrated our birthday's at Holly Hill Inn's Brunch. Three-course menu is $25, with soup or salad, entree and dessert. And it was one of the best meals I have had at any restaurant. The service was excellent! (Thanks Krista) I ordered the Sea Scallops and my friend had Roasted Quail, both were excellent. My friend described... More

Our first experience at Holly Hill was great. My husband took me there for Holly Hill's Sweetheart Brunch. We had the savory biscuits with apple butter and country ham for an appetizer. They were excellent. I had the top sirloin steak with olive oil braised potatoes and asparagus. The steak was cook to perfection, very tender and flavorful. The asparagus... More

The restaurant is an old house in a rural area. They have tables on the outside porch which is probably delightful during the summer (we were there during January). The signature cocktails were balanced and tasty. The menu is limited but everything was delicious. The only criticism is that the hot water for tea wasn't very hot.
