Can I say that I did not have high expectations of what Ethiopian cuisine could be and I am thrilled that I was proven utterly wrong. The food was incredible with explosions of flavor in every bite. I love that it is offered to you Ethiopian style as well, that is to say on a platter inside the middle of... More

This is a great Ethiopian restaurant. The food is fresh, healthy and delicious. If you are not familiar with Ethiopian food it is served on their version of bread called Injera. You can request rice or half rice if unsure about whether you like it. The Injera is also used to scoop up the food but you can request a... More

As the saying goes " You can't tell a book by its cover" applies to this restaurant. The exterior looks like a run down fast food place but once inside there are white table clothes tables with interesting Ethopian decor and background music The wait staff is friendly, convivial and helpful. We had service in the traditional way and the... More

I have to admit, this is actually one of my favorite places to eat whenever I visit Louisville. I know it may sound strange that I would go eat Ethiopian food while in Kentucky but this is good, fresh, delicious, AND authentic Ethiopian food! The service is attentive, the staffs are friendly, and the price is more than reasonable. Having... More

Just shared the Beyaynetu. The beef was perfectly spiced. The veggies wrapped with injera were delicious. The sega tips, Atakilt, Fossolia and Alicha sega wot were so tender and tasty that words cannot capture.

The enjira has a different taste than any I have ever had. However, I still like it a lot. The food was amazing. Water glasses were kept full. I have never been here when more than 1/2 of the restaurant is full. I hope that they are doing good business because I like this place a lot,

As many reviewers mentioned, the curb appeal is not high. The interior is plain with some Ethiopian decorations. Large or small groups can be accommodated by moving tables together or apart. We were seated in a smaller room with traditional woven tables to support the food platters. For the best experience, I recommend asking for the traditional serving and room.... More

I was hesitant about trying this place out. When I cam here for lunch there were only a few people in there, and it was quiet (no house music). Eager to step outside my comfort zone I was determined to try it We ordered a few of the combo platters. They both came out one big platter. You have to... More
