I enjoyed the food here - ordered the scallops and grits - but the portions were small for the price I was paying. The beers were on special, so that did enhance my experience. I had a 20 oz. craft beer for 3 bucks. The bartender was very nice and attentive, but the hostesses seemed to be distracted and disinterested... More

We enjoyed our dinner here, but it's not the greatest food in town. Everyone was friendly and the restaurant had a wonderful ambience. We were served promptly and the food was tasty, fresh and well prepared. Portions were average size. The "basic" menu items (soup, salad, steak) were better than the "creative" ones (scallops with smoked grits and sriracha). If... More

We drove into town and decided the Bristol in the Highlands was exactly where we wanted to go. I couldn't wait to get a burger and skillet fries. Our waitress however was not quite as happy. Our food order was not correct either. After waiting and picking on our food until we could get someone's attention, which ended up with... More

This place is a Louisville institution. Go for that, not for the food. The meal is general standard a little above average American food. Highlights were the apps - jalepeno poppers and artichoke fritters. Fun to go to just experience a place that has been there for decades.

Came with a wedding party and was very pleased! We were in the upstairs part of the building, which has an elevator. (We had a car seat/stroller combo) To get to the elevator, you have to walk through part of the kitchen. What I saw of the kitchen, it was very clean, which to me is important/impressive. The room upstairs... More

We were reluctant to stop here based on some of the other reviews but so glad we did! We live a good Hot Brown and this one did not disappoint. The green chili won ton appetizer - excellent! They make a home made version of ranch with cottage cheese - I'd go back for just a salad with that! Service... More

We ordered the shrimp and grits, were were just fine. My fiance and I ordered identical meals. The issue was with service. The host seated us immediately and served water immediately. He was terrific. Our server took our order pretty quickly, and returned 10 minutes later with my fiance's salad. She left, and several minutes later, a manager came by... More

We always go to Sunday brunch, when in Louisville. Brunch is very reasonably priced for the options given. Children's brunch prices are extremely cheap and goes up to 13 year old!! With the money saved on the teens, we got bloody Mary's. YUM!

The entrees and Caesar salad combinations (I prefer the salmon) is one of my favorites and I prefer their Pinot Grigio with that. Friendly staff and a fantastic atmosphere right in the heart of the Highlands. Indoor and outdoor seating and they also have a Sunday Brunch.

Lots to chose from on the menu. Reasonably priced. Love the green chili wontons. Frequent the Bristol for business and have never had a bad experience. Food is always good and service is great!
