It feels like your walking into a house cellar when entering the restaurant. Different but with character. The ribs r fabulous and the grippo fries were pretty warm but a must try. Go early or expect a wait, it's a small place.

This is the out of the way spot you go when you are looking for great food and aren't in a hurry or worried about swanky surroundings. Some might go so far as to say this basement grotto qualifies as a dive, or even a dump. It is a cozy environment that means you may be waiting on the sidewalk.... More

When you drive down the street to park, you can smell the ribs on the grill. Oh man, if that's not enough to make you want to dine there, I don't know what else would!!!! The fried macaroni and cheese is outstanding. The house spring salad was delicious with sliced apples on top. I ordered the smoked BBQ pork sandwich... More

You are looking for a fancy place? Then this is not for you... But if you look for BBQ Ribs that are so tender that the meat falls of the bones and great homemade fries this is your place. And what I also like was that they have some really nice Ciders on sale.

Finally made it to this little walkdown in Germantown. I had the ribs and they were fall off the bone tender and flavorful. I shared the mac and cheese balls with the table, and enjoyed those, but would have loved a little more sauce on them. Good beer choices, good food, but nothing fancy. Burgers also looked good, and the... More

This is literally in someone's basement, so it's the epitome of a dive bar with unreasonably good food. We waited 30 minutes to be seated and were on the premises for a total of nearly two hours. The seating was a bit awkward, and service slow. But the beer and food were worth the wait if you have the time.... More

There's a reason there are people lined up at 5:00 for this place to open. Because this place is out of this world. In a city with so many food choices, this is and always be a staple visiting my hometown.

We went for the first time tonight for dinner. We had to wait about 35 minutes to be seated. After you put your name on the list they would let you get a drink but then said that they were full to capacity you had to wait outside. It was a very cold night. I ordered the catfish sandwich and... More
