We have been here many times! This visit was for a Friday night beverage and appetizer. We split the mozzarella salad every time we are here! Delicious!

This was my second visit to Shakespeare for breakfast. The first visit had a botched order which wasn't that big of a deal so I tried it again. This time, I met 2 colleagues for breakfast. We each had a breakfast platter (probably $10-12) and all the meals were good. The waitress initially brought us separate checks but I told... More

Strange diner that serves food from loads of different countries. Once you get over how weird that is and the mad charity shop decor it's all pretty decent. Like most places in America, breakfast stuff is at a prerequisite level of quality, juices really good and the staff v accommodating and has decent alcohol selection. If I'm honest the food... More

Stopped in for Mothers Day dinner, no reservations. No wait, and we were allowed to choose our own seating, which isn't your traditional table and chairs or booths! This has antique Victorian style decor, very shabby chic and different! I loved the different atmosphere. We chose a settee by the window, giving us a nice view of the street and... More

We are from out of town, but every time we get anywhere near Lexington, we dine at Shakespeare. It is so delightful to eat outdoors, under the umbrellas, for brunch and terrific mimosas... you could really sit there all day. Dinner is also very enjoyable, laidback, unrushed, and great variety. They can accommodate food allergies, and everything is fresh, and... More

Right downtown Lexington. The minute you walk into this restaurant you know you are in for a different experience. We really liked the whole theme of the restaurant. One can just sit there and look around at all of the decor. My wife and I did lunch at Shakespeare for my birthday. We sat on two couches with the table... More

Went for lunch. The restaurant is very cool the way it is decorated, but the food was all just average. I had the American breakfast. I was excited to get cheese grits, but they were dried out like they had been around a long time. The hash browns were an over-cooked patty. My friend had the fish sandwich which she... More

My sister took me here when I visited her in Lexington in April. Shakespeare and Co. is one of her favorite restaurants and I understand why! The furnishings and decorations are amazing! The food was delicious and the service very good.

We dined at Shakespeare and co. on a Sunday night, what a fun place! We were seated at a low table with couches which made for a great experience. The service was great and we were not rushed. We ordered champagne and apps which we really enjoyed as well as our entrée's. They have a great menu, I would definitely... More

Shakespeare's was recommended by family who had eaten there a few nights before... but I can't say we had a good experience. We had a group of 7, so getting in anywhere downtown without a reservation was a bit challenging and since Shakespeare's had the shortest wait we decided to give it a chance, despite reading subpar reviews. I think... More
