Came here after a day on the lake to eat the buffet with family. They had a lot to choose from but the catfish was my favorite. It is lightly breaded with a mild catfish flavor and fried golden brown. Everyone at my table was pleased with their food. The service was good and our waitress kept check on us.... More

We meet friends at the Anglers Cove restaurant in the Jessie Stewart Lodge at Greenbo State Park several times a year. The catfish is great and many of the other buffet items are very good also. In the summer we sit in the rocking chairs on the front porch of the lodge and in winter we warm by the beautiful... More

You can order off the menu or there is a buffet on the weekends. I understand that the locals eat here. The food is typical buffet, turkey, roast beef, casseroles, potatoes, veg, salad bar, etc. The food is good but best of all eating here will save you a 22 mile round trip to eat if you are staying here.

The help basicly pointed to a table, and pointed to the buffet. They put our drinks on the table, and we saw no more of them during the entire meal. I had to literally hunt someone down to put bowls out for the soup, and to refill the ice cream machine. It was really the worst service I've ever had... More

In late August, this place wasn't busy and only had one server and chef so service wasn't fast but staff was friendly and the food was very good. Since we weren't in a hurry, we enjoyed ourselves. They offered a breakfast buffet both mornings we were there and it was good. We had Kentucky Hot Browns for dinner and they... More

This place used to be great but that was a few years ago. Service was slow and very disorganized; food quality was not good like yeas past.

Had two meals here. Since it is the only place to eat for miles, would recommend it for this reason. Food was ok. The fried cat fish was very good and so were the vegetables on the buffet. It was terribly understaffed when we were there the first night so service was very SLOW even for foods that only had... More

The catfish was mushy and that was the main dish! There was some ham that was okay and then it was all thawed veggies and basic salad ingredients. It's a gorgeous area , but I suggest you skip the lunch buffet.

This is a wonderful state park. The restaurant has good food at a reasonable price and the service is friendly and efficient. We come here for the catfish. Everything else is good but the catfish is our favorite. If in the area it is well worth the stop.

The staff seems kind of young and unprofessional, but the food is surprisingly good and arrives quickly. The free-for-guests breakfast was more than adequate although it lacked meat other than in the sausage gravy. The Hot Brown at dinner was huge and beyond excellent!
