Charming and friendly place for a solid meal, with a typical diner menu. Felt right at home from start to finish. Was welcomed by the staff when we walked through the door and had great service. The food was nothing fancy but very good, just what we were looking for. We ordered breakfast, and our eggs were perfectly cooked. We... More

I was planning to photograph the capitol building, and I had about a half hour to grab a quick bite. I was thinking of going to Arby's, but Yelp told me Cliffside was nearby (right around the corner) so I thought I'd give it a try. It's basically an old diner, cozy and friendly. More charming than a chain, for... More

My husband and I were in Frankfort running errands and decided to eat somewhere different. We decided on the Cliffside Diner. It is as others have stated tiny and the food was nice, but nothing monumental, but while we were there, we had a waitress who was a treat and talked with us about a building project she was doing... Found this on a weekend trip to KY. Had an old time diner feel. Food was great. I especially reccomend the fried potatoes.

Loved this small, hole in the wall diner off the beaten path a little. Great burger, country fried steak was also good. Friendly and quaint. Coming back for sure.

We stopped in on a road trip. I really cannot think of a thing to criticize. It is the best burger Ive ever had. Nothing fancy. Fairly priced. Staff with personality. We sat at the counter during a busy Saturday lunch rush and enjoyed watching the cook work. It's tiny and exactly the kind of place you"d expect would serve... More

We ventured into this place wondering if it was just another greasy spoon place. The atmosphere might be challenging at first, but the food more than makes up for it. Ask one of the ladies what to order, then sit back and wait. Delicious food and tons of it. Everything seems to never end. We will go back to try... More

We detoured to dine here, regret the 20 minutes drive from the highway. Short order style: my steak started frozen on the flat cooktop, covered with a small lid along with the onions. Served with tasteless french fries I remember from school cafeteria lunches. All drinks served in white styrofoam large 16 oz cups. Menu board is interesting, circa 20th... More

Huge selection of food choices set in a quaint diner atmosphere. Americana dining! The food tasted great and an enjoyable experience. Just down from the Capital along the river.

My brother in law was I from Florida and we went to Buffalo Trace and wanted a kentucky lunch. We chose the Cliffside for a TA list. It was a little crowded but very good and the prices are incredible. I had the fish sandwich combo with fired potatoes and sweet tea. My wife had a Mini burger and homemade... More
