This restaurant has great food! Fantastic home style southern favorites & the homemade pies & desserts were delicious. They also make a great mint julep. Must stop here if in Bardstown, KY

We had heard that this was a family style restaurant so we didn't expect anything tremendous. But I have to say that the tastes were out of this world. The green beans, spiced beets, potato salad, barbecued chicken and fried chicken were absolutely outstanding. And...More

We asked a local gentleman for a recommendation for a good meal at a local restaurant. He told us that Kurtz had the best fried chicken you'd ever tasted. It lived up to its recommendation!

You can always count on a great lunch or dinner at Kurtz restaurant. Home cooked, delicious meals. The cream of broccoli soup is one of my favorites. The prime rib for dinner is also great. Consistently great service also.

Reservations not required, but it never hurts to call. I don't remember the hours but do remember that they are (or were) closed on Sundays and Mondays, and also from Jan 1 to Mar 1 for the cold season.
