A very tasty BBQ place. Nothing fancy but good food. They have a great pancake served with the meal made out of cornbread.

If you are looking for locale flair and some good bar-b-que, this is your place. Nothing fancy here, but the meats were good and the sides were excellent. We had a half rack of the ribs with potatoes and beans, as well as a pulled pork sandwich with mac-n-cheese and green beans. A cornbread pancake is served first, and it... More

The chicken and ribs were very dry. The coleslaw was runny. The corn muffin was excellent. The service was quick.

We came from Michigan and were expecting something downtown - this restaurant is a little further off the beaten track. The inside doubles as a thrift store with clothes and random odds and ends surrounding the tables and it is really seems more for locals. We asked the waitress what was good and she responded with "I don't eat the... More

We were in the mood for BBQ and this was the only place that came up in Bardstown so we gave it a try. It"s a very down-homey, quirky sort of place that even appeared as if they had a thrift shop inside! We were greeted by a very nice but timid young woman who got our drinks and took... More

Some of the best bbq I have ever eaten. The restaurant is uniquely decorated. Very country place. The owner is quite a character. Very fun to talk to.

I decided to try some BBQ while traveling in KY. The GPS pointed me toward Down Home BBQ. It is definitely a local establishment but don't let that stop you. The food is very good. I tried the Brisket and was satisfied. Try the BBQ sauces - homemade and really added to the meal. Service was friendly and quick. I... More

You gotta try the ribs. They fall off the bone. Baked beans, mac-n-cheese, and fried potatoes were great too.
