We have been to Le Roi Carotte few times, and always enjoyed our meals. The service is also great, attentive, friendly and english spoken. We highly recommend this restaurant - make sure to book as its very popular!

We ate Sunday lunch here and shared the restaurant with couples and families, about 25 customers so it was half full. A lovely tureen of hot vegetable soup and 3 courses for 20€ was excellent value and we left very full. We chose spinach & goats cheese tart and poached pear & blue cheese, followed by pork casserole and rice.... More

9 of us went to this restaurant for a double Birthday celebration and had a wonderful evening. It is a family run business, using fresh produce from the garden. The setting was superb and the service first class. The owner understood our attempts at French and was friendly and professional. We all ordered different combinations of food and we all cleared... We stayed here for two nights in June and dined one evening. The food here is amazing. Big soup to share before the starters then a lovely spinach and goats cheese tart to follow. Had to go for the confit duck for main and wasn't disappointed, best dauphinois potatoes I've ever had! The rooms were clean, comfortable and good value.... More

We are so boring! Again we revisited this wonderful restaurant after a two year gap. Again.....wonderful ambience ,great food, attentive service......chickens calling, sun dappling through the overhead leaves.........you get the idea? Always worth the trip. Go and you will not be disappointed. And you don't have to eat duck!

On a summer evening dining here on the terras was a great experience. The 20 Euro menu gave great choices and was excellent value for money. Friendly staff. Really to be recommended.

Nice location with large terrass with view on nice garden with sheep. Friendly owner with lots of patience which is welcome when you have your children running around. We had fried little fish, duck and salads which were all good. Good prices too !

We have eaten here several times and always enjoyed the food, ambience and setting. The menu is simple and mostly offers local cuisine, as you would expect and hope for. It is well cooked, beautifully presented and exceptional value. It is a particular joy to dine on the terrace overlooking the potager and flower beds which provide much of what... More
