Perfect village Inn friendly landlord and locals, good pint of ale and wide range of draught lager and ciders. Food was excellent, very refreshing to find a pub that it is not trying to be gourmet, the Bull is all about good quality fresh food, well cooked on the plate. The young bubbly bouncy lady who works there is excellent,... More

After a walk around Riseley,I stopped at this pub for a drink & a bite to eat with some friends. The BLT I had not only tasted superb but was very good value for money. My friends enjoyed theirs too.

Generally clean old style pub - we chose from the classic menu, Hunters chicken & steak pie. Downside was the 'pie' which was actually a pastry shell filled with tender steak in gravy & topped with a pastry disc - a pie should be cooked as a whole to give a good flavour to the pastry & a better 'eat'.... Called in for a last minute lunch with a friend , we were made very welcome and the food was excellent we both had the liver and bacon. Even when we stayed most of the afternoon chatting the offer of tea top ups were appreciated.

Visited this pub again for the first time in years. Food was great four of us ate price was very reasonable. The ambience was welcoming. The menu is more than you would expect from a pub. Once again complements to the chef.

After a lovely 6 mile stomp in the surrounding countryside we ended up in The Bull for lunch on a beautiful spring weekend. We bagged a table in the small beer garden to the rear - there's a few tables at the front of the pub too. Very peaceful on a Saturday afternoon. A Shepherd Neame pub so a few... More

Came here for a family Christmas Eve dinner and had a lovely meal. Staff were very friendly and the food was lovely and not too long a wait. Would definitely recommend.

Small bar area which was congested with locals on their bar stools so difficult to reach the bar to get served, though this is typical of a small local pub but very annoying, they were very load too. Only two real ales on but adequate. The food was the very basic pub food served in just about every local pub.... More

The attraction of this pub was its closeness to a nearby campsite. Draught ale was good but a bit cool. Pork rib fritter in a JD sauce sounded a good starter but came on a tea plate and was disappointing. Pork okay but some big lumps of fat all under a deluge of sickly sauce. I felt like Gordon Ramsey... More
