Me and boyfriend ate here when we stayed down the road at the riding stables. We where very lucky to get a table as we had not booked and it was a Friday night but the staff very kindly found us a table and we both had the streak which was cooked to perfection! There was a good selection on... More

My wife and I called in here for a late lunch one Saturday, we hadn't booked and were lucky that they managed to squeeze us in. The food was top class pub food, juicy well cooked top quality steaks, and a delightful fresh cheesecake. The food isn't the cheapest pub food that you'll find, but the quality means that it... Friendly welcome and they took our drinks order before showing us to a nice table for three upstairs. We ordered starters of deep fried Brie and pork belly before main courses of hake and fries, twice, and the Welsh lamb off the specials board. All the food was delicious and the portions were substantial. With (non alcoholic) drinks, the bill... More

The Pen Y Cae Inn used to be my fave place to go ... 5 years ago. Visited for Valentines Day and its gone seriously downhill. Our table was forgotten about and they didn't take a drinks order for about 20 mins after we arrived and after we ordered our food (Soft drinks which were flat). There seemed to be... More

My family and myself visited this restaurant last Sunday 5th February for a family lunch, 5 adults and a three month old baby. We had a lovely table which was big enough for us all plus enough room for the baby's car seat. The menu had a wide range of choices and it all sounded delicious, we placed our food... More

A delightful place with its smart decor & wooden beams & modern dining experience. The food choices is always 1st class & my husband always enjoys the steaks cooked here. Desserts are equally as impressive & we always leave happy with the service & delicious culinary choices we made!

Wonderful food. Best faggots ever tasted. Well recommended! Just cannot fault anything at all. Also suitable for disabled people as there is a lift to take you to the upper floor.🙂

4 of us had lunch here on 14th January staff were friendly and helpful. A lovely friendly atmosphere. The food was lovely, very tasty and hot. We had steak, the stuffed chicken and lamb shanks. Chocolate brownies and sticky toffee pudding very nice. They were quite busy and the service was slower than I would expect but we weren't in... More
