We tried to go today and found the pathways blocked (literally with 6 feet of cinder block walls) due to landslides and damage. No information on when the restaurant will be open again.

We (the Furore Five from Finland) visited Al Monazeno & Fiordo di Furore twice during our stay in Amalfi. Al Monazeno offers everything one could hope for: fantastic fresh seafood, relaxed "beachy lounge" atmosphere, most helpful and friendly owner & staff, postcard-like scenery, quiet beach, crystal clear sea and prompt & cheerfully delivered extra beach services (sun chairs, drinks etc.).... Nice place to sit back and enjoy the fiord's view, while having smth to eat or drink. The staff is very helpful, food was good and the prices in a normal limit, not like in other places on the coast.

Having kayaked along the coast, we pulled ashore on the beach underneath a huge bridge which hosts diving competitions apparently. We were a party of 7 and it was too early for us to eat lunch so the owner prepared a selection of antipasti, which were simple and very tasty. They included two types of fried seafood fritters which I... More

If you are not afraid to park your car on the side of the road, this is the perfect place to have a relaxed beach day at a beautiful location.

This is an unpretentious spot by the fjord. Their food is good but not great, and they have only outdoor seating.

If you take a few steps down to the beach, you'll find this charming, tiny beachside trattoria. Like all the eateries up and down the coast, the owners generally speak better English then you do. A day out with friends brought us back to this wonderful spot. We were served a delicious swordfish, rocket and piennolo tomato pasta. Topped off... More

We have been visiting Amalfi for going on 20 years, so we have eaten at most of the restaurants. Well, this one took our breath away. From the gorgeous and unspoilt view (literally 50 yards from the Med.), to the generous host who made sure my wife who is allergic to fish still felt like a special guest, we give... More
