Always excellent food, drinks and service. You will not be disappointed! Get a reservation on the weekends though it can be quite busy.

Went on my birthday. Steak was melt lm mouth tender, cooked to perfection. Hubby had braised pork hocks very tasty and unusual. Service excellent. Relaxing atmosphere, quiet enough thAt you don't hear next table conversation. Pricey but nice for special occasion. Did get free dessert for birthday without the embarrassing singing. Don't take kids..

This is one of THE places to be in Dubuque. Generally bustling, busy. Menu changes with seasons, always interesting mix of comfort food and something for foodies. I appreciate a decent beer menu for pairing the dishes, along with great wine recommendations.

We typically dine here several times per year, often with family. On this occasion my wife and I were looking forward to a nice evening together, sans-children. We had reservations, and enjoyed a drink at bar while they readied our table, about 20 minutes. We were seated in their newer room, at far right of restaurant, where there was a... More

We used to love going to L.may, as they were the only place in town with gluten free options....I'm embarrassed to say they were have dined out there....quite..a..bit. Over the time, the place has lost its consistency. THE pizza for example that we used to get used to have way more toppings than it does now. I have also had... More

4 of us had dinner here and it was great. 2 of our party had the pumpkin lasagna and it was great. I had the braised short ribs and they were very good. The eatery is located in a a neat old section of town and is a local favorite.

We met another couple and were pressed for time. We let the server know and she took care of us in a timely fashion. They were swamped with homecoming and their usual crowd and still managed to get us seated with last minute reservations and we had time for dessert! The pizza was amazing! The dessert EVEN more! The infused... More

I have dined at L May in the past and had a nice meal. However, last week my husband and I stopped here while staying in Galena for a few days. I was in a seafood mood so I ordered the branizi. Now I am OK with finding a fish bone every now and then, but after 7 or 8... More

We enjoyed the food the service and the space. I'd go back. We live in Chicago and it's a pretty hip room.

Thank BJ J
