Our most recent visit to Tippecanoe was for brunch the Saturday after Thanksgiving with our family. Every several years we have a celebratory brunch here during the holidays, because the mansion is pretty and the decorations put us in the holiday spirit. Brunch remains the only meal worth eating (my mom tried it for dinner 2 weeks ago and a... More

Nothing stands out as a must order, but you cannot go wrong with ordering anything that sounds good. All dishes are solid. You are basically paying for the atmosphere while enjoying a find meal

Yummy lunch in a historic spot. Good service, Better food. The roast beef is as good as advertised. The History Museum even provided us with a discount coupon.

Although the setting is beautiful, the food was just average which was a little disappointing. Prime Rib did not come out as requested. Chicken Marsala was just ok. Probably would not return as I'm sure there are better selections in the area. The house is beautiful that's about what I can say and our waiter was very nice.

The setting is everything elegant and opulent from a forgotten age a century ago, and enormous care has been taken to leave the family rooms accessible and tuck the kitchen and service areas into the servant's quarters inside the massive, gorgeous 40-room mansion. We were there for Thanksgiving dinner and it was easily the best holiday dining-out experience I've had.... More

We walked into the lobby of Tippecanoe Place and we were greeted by a piano player and beautiful Christmas decorations. We visited with our son and his ND roommates and thoroughly enjoyed the atmosphere, the historic building and the food. The brunch options were extensive and tasty. The price was average for a brunch - $23 a person - and... More

Building around 1880 is now a restaurant. The rooms with all the decorative wood and fireplaces are beautiful. Was with a tour group company that selected restaurant. One comment on food: Many had selected the Prime Rib asking theirs at our table of 6 to be well down. Everyone that ordered PR received rare, bloody and not very hot. Some... More

This is one Restaurant that should not be missed. The food is exceptional, but if you love old Architecture & history as well, then this is the place to go! It has it all. Our Waiter Douglas was so amazing with history knowledge of the home we were eating in, but he also is the main Tour Person on Saturdays... More

There was a time when Tippecanoe Place was superb. No longer. While the food was pretty good at lunch, no one in my party of four was excited enough to comment. The service was so bad. It took an hour after sitting down to get our food. Getting water glasses refilled during the long wait was a major undertaking. The... More

A group of 10 visiting South Bend fro business went to the restaurant. I would summarize the visit as the service was ill informed, the menu not descriptive and the food for many poor or inedible. First the wait staff did not have an intimate knowledge of the menu. Once ordered the kitchen was slow. The food itself speaking for... More
