When we are traveling we always look for a restaurant where the locals eat because that is a sign that the food is good. El Zorrito did not disappoint. We will be back!

Dirty place with terrible service and mediocre food. Ignored by staff, had to ask for normal items like napkins to sop up the wet tables and menus.
Very average Mexican food. They put a cheese sauce on a lot of their dishes. Would be much better we fresh grated cheese. The red sauce on the burrito tasted like ketchup. Food does not resemble their pictures. Price is very reasonable. But not much...of a choice for dining in Shipshewana.More
We went to El Zorrito 2 on a Friday night mostly because everything else in the town was closed. The hostess working the front door was in no hurry to help anyone. But, once we did get seated, our food was prepared rather quickly. I...had a chimichanga and we also had their cheese dip. Everything tasted fine. But it was just typical midwestern, Mexican food. It was rather interesting to see about six Amish buggies parked outside.More
Our family has made a habit of going on Taco Tuesday. Standard tacos are a $1 but for a little extra they offer really good shrimp and grilled chicken tacos.
We are spoiled with Mexican food coming from Denver. But this restaurant was just ok. The chips were warm and salsa was very mild but tasted good. The portions were plentiful. The chicken enchiladas were really dry but I asked for more cheese sauce which...helped. The tamales were really dry. The taco was good and meat was very moist. The tv was on an inappropriate movie channel which bothered us as there were numerous Amish families with small children. Our server was training and messed up our order but they made the correct food quickly.More
This is a great place to eat in Shipshewana! You don't go away hungry! The Amish food is great too, but if you are around for a few days and want to try something else, this is a good choice!
I had enchiladas that were nothing special, but the chips and salsa were-first rate, and it was a nice change of pace from Amish food and pie.
We had the pleasure of eating here. Awesome little place in the main road of Shipshewana. Great hostesses. Meals were very big and filling. You may choose your range of spices. It is a little place, but trust me a lot of people dine here,
I remember this building from when it was a steakhouse and the interior hasn't changed much except for the Mexican decor. The was good and prices reasonable.
We make an annual trip to Shipshewana each year and have enjoyed this restaurant as a nice change. This year however there was a noticeable difference. Our first clue should have been the near empty parking lot at 6:30 on Friday night. The food was...awful in every way. Hard shell tacos rubbery, not crisp, meat Luke warm and little flavor, guacamole was mostly onion, very little green avocado it was watery. Clearly they lost the chef and could not find a replacement. At this rate they will be out of business soon. I feel bad for the owner who was trying to “help” in the kitchen.More
I had the chicken chimichanga and it was the best I ever eaten. The chips were warm and fresh and the salsa was tasty. I don't like cilantro and there was just a touch of it in the salsa so I was still able to...enjoy. The service was good. Will visit there next year when we return.More
If you have had your fill of Amish food and like Mexican give this place a try. Yes, there is a Mexican restaurant in Shipshe. It's on the main street but no one knows about it. It offers the traditional menu with American food also...available. It's clean, quiet, service was good, and the price is right. They also have daily specials. I will return.More
Stopped here after travelling all day for a quick lunch. Had the taco salad. Service was great and food came out quickly and hot.
This is a hidden gem in Shipshewana. If you like Mexican food, this is the only one in the area. Different items sure to please.
