Five stars for doing what they promise and doing it well. Delicious simple Amish style home cooking. MUST GET their cinnamon buns.! I don't even like pork and enjoyed my pulled pork sandwich on homemade bun. We shared their cheesy potato casserole and it was declared a winner! The salad bar looked fresh with many offerings. It was hard to... More

We were only able to stop for a few minutes, mainly to see what The Homestead was all about, since we had eaten a light breakfast at our hotel. We are familiar with Amish bulk food stores and as you walk in past the small but very cute displays of seasonal gifts, you will find shelves loaded with spices, kitchen... More

This is a quaint little store that has a few homemade baked goods, several candy options, honey, jams, homemade decorative or clothing items, and a few country decorative items. It is also a small deli you can eat at or order to go. All of the items I have bought have been wonderful!

Excellent food, all homemade. They sell all kinds of bulk foods, spices, jams, baked goods and have a deli.

The store is very quaint and peaceful. The selection of goodies and homestyle items is quite impressive. We purchased several bulk food items and the ones we have tried thus far were very good. The prices are very reasonable and there are many things you cannot find at most mainstream grocery stores. I highly recommend that you bring your friends... More

A very clean & pleasant place to eat. Competent staff and wonderful food! I have eaten on every continent and many other countries, and this pace is second to none. I have been there a number of times and have tried their sandwiches, breads, cheeses & desserts. Much of their food is home-made. The fudge is our of this world!... More

My wife and I "discovered" the wonderful Homestead thanks exclusively to previous reviewers on TripAdvisor who had praised it so often. Coming back to our home in central Illinois from a visit to the Lake Michigan beaches, we determined to take the "back roads" rather than the usual uninspiring Interstate highways so that we could specifically stop at this delightful... The products are very tasty and fresh - from the salads to the desserts. I also love that they have frozen items you can take home. Great place to SHOP & EAT!

On our way home to Wisconsin, took a chance and stopped for lunch. Very glad we did! Soup, chicken and rice, very very tasty (not salty either), panini sandwiches delicious! Great staff and lots of extra trinkets and homemade goodies to buy! Worth the stop! 🙌🙌🙌

Small establishment with a relaxed environment and excellent food on the menu. There is also a store integrated into the restaurant so you can shop for various food items and decorative things as well.
