They advertise on the Web, site book on line and get 30 % discount for a Tuesday night , this is false as they did nit get this
Service was poor and slow. The selection of curries on offer was ok. The dishes tasted average at best. Naan bread was burnt, staff didn't care. Expensive for what you actually receive. We would not revisit
Delicious food!! Really enjoyed the clean and neat setting as well. We especially loved the Chili paneer which came out crispy on the outside and super tasty. The Nan and butter chicken was also so so good!! We would definitely come again.
Must have been an off night. Arrived 6.30pm Friday. Booking made three days before had been lost. Only two tables with customers but our group of five was stuffed into a corner next to a family table of a dozen or so of all ages...including kids. Had rung to see if they were BYO and told 'yes' but the two young and obviously inexperienced staff were hesitant to bring us wine glasses and finally relented. Actually asked us if we wanted our entrees first! Despite lack of customers, taking our orders and bringing food were done slowly and without much real interest. Food was overcooked and everything - whether lamb, goat or chicken, tasted about the same. All the time some rather loud and vaguely pop music was playing just to be sure conversation was a bit difficult. A truly big 'fail' from an established local Indian restaurant that should be much better.More
This is for the Westmead store. Upon arriving we were told we couldn’t eat in and it was takeaway only. Despite another couple sitting inside, and there being free tables! He tried to tell us we would be uncomfortable. The order taker seemed to lack...a few customer service skills. In saying that though; the nann and the butter chicken were beautiful- can’t fault the chefs at all!More
Food was excellent however the service was a bit slow. The tandoori chicken was great, the chicken korma was excellent as was the goat curry.
Great food, wonderful service. My wife spilled her wine and broke a plate. No trouble - all cleaned up and a free glass of wine. We will return.
Gone are the good days for Curry Lovers they don’t want to serve or reachable whatsoever. Food is very ordinary. Unable to reach and order being a regular customer for years. Too many changed of new management every now and then.
We ordered the food online, we ordered at 7:20, our meal arrived at 9:30pm, taking about two hours when we live the next suburb over. The food is expensive and overall average. We ordered Palak Paneer, Malai Kofta, Lamb rogan josh and butter chicken. All...curries are too creamy and therefore lack flavour. We will not be ordering from here again.More
Terrible service, mediocre food and horrible ambience. The waitress was very offhanded and, when it came time to pay, she said she had no change (a ploy to get a bigger tip, we think). There were nine of us and four of us wanted the...banquet. We were told the whole table had to have the banquet or we could NOThave it. The menu says, a minimum of four can have the banquet. Don't go to this restaurant, because you are bound to be disappointed. One would have thought, with nine people, they would be pleased to do a banquet for four. We won't be back; last time was good; this time was awful.More
My partner and I went to Curry Lovers for dinner on Saturday night. We ordered the Curry Lovers Banquet which we have ordered before and really enjoyed. The food was tasty and came promptly but we were absolutely appalled by the service. The two waitresses...were rude and it was difficult to get their attention. We did not receive everything we had ordered, nor did we get any dessert as it is included in the banquet. After sitting for 25 minutes and many failed attempts of getting a waitress’ attention we left. When we remarked on the lack of dessert she said “you should have ordered dessert when you ordered everything else”. Where else do you order dessert when you order everything else?! Absolutely appalling and we shall never return to Curry Lovers.More
Fabulous food, all dishes were were tender and flavour was great. We were very happy with the service, staff were friendly and accommodating of our special dietary needs.
Really enjoyed the curries, great banquet deal, plenty of food for the price. The service was friendly but it seemed like not enough staff as tables were not being cleared and they were rushing around. The atmosphere lacked a little, the shop itself could be...made a bit cosier and more inviting. Definitely needs updating. For the food alone we would go again.More
Food and service are consistently good, staff are polite and friendly and the restaurant is never overly busy so you can sit and have a conversation without having to yell.
