It's hard to top Texas barbeque, but South Street Smoke House is the closest second I've ever found. Loved it!

I’ve tried a lot of barbecue all over the US and this was probably the worst, most bland barbecue I’ve ever had. We tried the brisket, the pulled pork, and the pulled chicken. All were bland unless doused in barbecue sauce (which was decent.) The...More
No muss no fuss just really good bbq. Reasonable pricing for crazy big portions. They run a lot through at lunch time with only a short wait. Construction makes it hard to get in but worth the time.
You really only need 4 words. Kansas City brisket sandwich You’ll thank me later. Don’t wait too late as they frequently run out of things.

Good prices with great meat. No frills but boy is this amazing. Food can’t be beat, go with the brisket. Can’t be beat.

Get there early if you want the brisket but either way whatever you get will be amazing. Super casual atmosphere and outstanding food.
I’ve been here multiple times, and their pulled pork (called the Carolina) is excellent. If you go (and I highly recommend that you do), buy the Carolina. You won’t regret it.
