Not the best Middle Eastern in the city, but our tajines (one beef, one chicken) were quite good. Humus was uninspired. Service was fine the look is fun.

Saffron is a quaint little independent Moroccan restaurant near Mass Ave district. Service was good and you can be seated inside or outside the front door in an enclosed tent-like area. We ordered the Greek salad (diced tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, chickpeas and kalamata olives,...More

Most of my last review still stands. My food was warm not hot and the flavors did not pop as much. I am wondering if they tried to dumb it down for Americans. It was still tasty though. As always the service was intermittent. The...More
We went with reasonable expectations but they were belied. Food is not tasty and dull. The appetizers, entrees were below average. Moroccan food tastes far better than what Saffron Cafe served us. The only thing that excited the taste buds was the Mascarpone Layer Cake....More
fantastic decor and food presentation. The portions were quick generous and staff was very friendly. I would have given it a five , but I found it pricey.

A friend asked us to go. Having been to a real cafe in Morocco a few months earlier that we loved, had to see how Moroccan it was. The food was prepared and presented in true Moroccan style, and delicious, I might add. Even the...More
