When I'm in the mood to travel back in time a little, I just travel to "the Gerst" as we call it. The old floors and decor are heartwarming and have a certain mystique to them comparable to something you would find in the french...More

Truthfully, I'm not a fan of German food but my husband wanted to eat here. He had fried oysters that he said were very good. I had a bacon cheeseburger that was excellent. Great atmosphere.

The food is always so good. They have a large selection of German and American foods. The German fried potatoes are to die for. The servers are alway pleasant and very efficient. Wait line moves quickly.

Food and serve are excellent! Convenient drive from Mt. Vernon, IN. They gave us all the time we needed to plan our class reunion.

Without a doubt this is the best German food in Evansville. Everything from 3 to 4 different sausages to the pig knuckles and the desserts the cobblers are out of sight

We had a party of six. It took awhile to be seated on very busy Saturday night. Great food, great service.
