The Irish Lion is one of the quaint downtown restaurants that makes Bloomington popular. The atmosphere is outstanding, very old, grand pub. The food is excellent and the bar is plentiful.

The wife and I had dinner here with another couple on a Sunday. We were from out of town to attend the Boogie Woogie jazz fest and chose this place because it had beer by the yard and was within easy walking distance. The building...More

Went with a group from work and sat outside on a nice summer evening. Had some nice cold brews and good meals, especially the fish & chips and the beef medalions.

Nope. I have never needed reservations to get a table. I would suggest if you had a large party to call in advance, but they have lots of room upstairs to accomodate most folks.
