As seen on Triple D and known for their chicken, it was definitely a treat, as it was the moistest fried chicken I've ever had! The mashed potatoes were creamy and very flavorful and the chicken gravy was excellent. Biscuits were truly outstanding served with butter and honey on the table. Green beans were also very good. Overall a really... More

This was a must stop for us - saw it on Drive-Ins, Diners & Dives in Australia a while back. Chicken was everything and more that we had expected! So glad we stopped to eat. Chicken was succulent and tasty, washed down with a Root Beer float :-) Service was exceptional, staff very friendly. Very clean establishment also.

We love this place. Service is always great. People greet you with a smile. I have had the chicken but also the pot pie which is hot and tasty. Takes a little time to bake but worth it. I tried the fish and it also is good. The kidney bean salad is a favorite but also the dumpling soup. Real... More

What a great place with very good food...of course the chicken cant be beat. But everything the family had was wonderful. There was so much history within, it was the perfect first stop of many along Route 66.

Wow. After a few bites, I was thrown back in time as though I was sitting at my grandmother's table for dinner, enjoying whatever she had prepared. Very casual atmosphere. Our server, Sherry D was OUTSTANDING. Quite possibly one of the very best servers I've ever had in any restaurant.

Had been here several years ago but didn't remember the experience. Two of us had the fried chicken and two had the catfish. Started out with the onion rings and potato skins which were excellent. The chicken was cooked perfectly but both eaters had to put salt on the meat for flavor--pretty bland despite their process of marinating and then... More

This restaurant has the warmth of wooden ceilings, walls, etc. and also a nice fireplace. We had the fried chicken---afterall, that is their claim to fame and we were not disappointed. Our waitress, Laura was so personable and looked after us! We are so glad that we stopped by here! It was a perfect stop on Route 66---gingham tablecloths and... More

Visited during a trip to Chicago. I had been here years ago and the food was fantastic. The chicken does have a unique breading and the mashed potatoes are real. The place is very busy and the tables very close together. The quality of the food is average and nothing special. White Fence Farms, not far from this restaurant is... More

My husband and I got a recommendation from the hotel clerk. He was totally right. It was within walking distance and we needed that walk after the ample portions. My husband had the shrimp and I had the macaroni. We're going back tomorrow to try the chicken!
