The very best around. Another Mexican restaurant recently opened in town, but it just doesn't compare. Love the way the owner is often present and asks how things are. We like to go at off hour times, as it gets very busy and noisy. One thing I hate are the sliding front wall panels without screens, lets in flies.

We went there for a quick family lunch, with our son and his wife. What a pleasant surprise! The place is small, but just right for the small back-country city of Sycamore - or is it a village??? All I can say is that they serve some of the best prepared Mexican food I have had in over 40 years:... More

Great Mexican food in beautiful downtown Sycamore. Sometimes you can watch fresh tortillas being made in the front window. The owner is very involved in the community. If you're visiting the area you need to eat here.

This place has come a long way. Owners keep updating. The outdoor seating area looks fantastic and so festive! love the sliding front windows! Menu is pretty much authentic as possible for this midwest corn town.

We dropped in for lunch when another option had magically transformed into a bank (WTH?) This is on State Street, which is the main drag through Downtown Sycamore. It is a nice location - the can open doors in the front to the street, which makes it nice and airy. Our host asked us if we were getting any foot... More

The food, service, and atmosphere is wonderful. The owner is always on site and visits each table, when possible. The table side making of the guacamole is nice. The new outdoor seating is small but offers another options for dining.

I love going to Taxco. My favorite thing is their salsa. It is spicy, definitely not a sweet Americanized salsa. They will even let you purchase some to take home for later! The people that work here are very friendly. I definitely will be eating here more often.

We finally got a chance to sit down and have a meal at Taxco! We had been to several events that Taxco catered and had enjoyed the food so we decided it was time to give them a try. The service was good, there were several large parties dining while we were their so a few times it did feel... More

Upon entrance you can watch the tortillas being made. Though the food is still geared "mild" for most, I like mine hot and spicy but the menu offers a variety of choices. The guacamole was made fresh at our table. We tried fajitas, chile relleno, taco salad and some other items all were served hot, fresh and delicious. Service was... More

Taxco is an upper-level Mexican restaurant with a great many menu items. Good and service are both excellent. Prices a bit high. We like this place, and we go for special occasions.
