Pizza lovers beware. You will hate this pizza pie. The crust is razor thin, the sauce tastes like Ragu , the cheese is non-existent and the sausage is doled out so sparingly, you forget you ordered a topping at all. Skip this overpriced disappointment.

So, the thing is that the menu has about 800 items. Pizza? Burgers? Sure. But you can also get 1950s American comfort food (roast beef, fried chicken) as well as Greek and Italian and Mexican and Irish. They have everything--way too much. How can a cook be good at all those cuisines? I suggest going for the burger or the... More

I learned that in a pizzeria you should order pizza! My hubby and I ordered hamburgers. His side was a salad. My side was a baked potato. If you put two fingerling potatoes together that would be the size of the baked potato. In other words, very tiny! Service was good even though the restaurant was extremely crowded. This, however,... I had a "Jones" for Sloppy Joe and my friend wanted a steak sandwich. This is a very nice, very casual bar, restaurant, pizzeria which is sure to satisfy your cravings. Prices are very reasonable and there are lots of TV's for the sports minded. We were totally satisfied by our lunch experience.

This is more of a bar than a restaurant but the food was very good. The staff was great and the smattering of regulars at the bar were welcoming. The food was very good. We wanted a Chicago Style pizza but it was going to be about an hour and we did not have that long. We decided that we... More

It was a nice evening, so we chose Village Inn since they had an outdoor patio. The interior is part pizzeria and part sports bar. There are a lot of TVs to watch different sports events. On the outside patio, they do have a section that is considered "smoking", so depending on the wind, you may smell cigarette smoke. We... More

Village Inn has been a local institution for over 30 years. Randy Miles has done a lot in the last 3 years to update the menu and dining room. After the no smoking regulations for restaurants, the entire place must have been steam cleaned because there is no lingering odors anywhere. Food is a cut above standard bar food -... More

Came here to watch the NLDS, with the hometown Cubs playing. The place was packed and the crowd was buzzing. Even so the staff provided good service (our waitress was very friendly) and the kitchen got our food out quick. I ordered a Cajun grilled catfish sandwich, my partner ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were tasty. Good for pub... More

Good pizza (especially the thin crust, but try the Alberti's Special for something different), decent selection of craft beer on tap, tasty salads and sandwiches, with enough TVs to keep everyone happy - a pleasant neighborhood sports bar where you don't have to be a "regular" to feel welcomed and be treated right. Friendly wait staff - some are more... More
