The steaks are cooked on a flat grill and are cooked burnt on top and bottom. Basically the taste of the burnt kills the flavour! Very sad to witness such a high reviewed place go south as a steakhouse.More

We had our annual Cartridge World National Convention with over 100 participants. Shelley Campagna, the Entire Gibson’s Wait Staff & Team, were Amazing! The Service & Food was OUTSTANDING! With all the attendees, they never missed a Beat – remembering everyone’s orders, and what wine...they were drinking was very impressive. I would highly recommend anyone considering holding an event to look at Gibson’s – especially if you want to make a Great impressionMore
The staff was very kind and friendly and the food was good. I had a steak and it was ok. My favorite side was the Brussels sprouts. Very expensive restaurant.
Worst steak I’ve ever had. Staff was wonderful, ambience is very crowded but somewhat quiet. My steak was burnt to a crisp and I ordered it medium.
Experiencing fine dining every weekend, with frequent business dinners and lunches, I have visited Gibsons locations while in Illinois on several occasions. Since the end of the pandemic, the chain has made numerous changes to service and hours of operation that I have accepted respectfully....What is not acceptable, is hiring employees to run your stores who have no regard for customers and refuse to offer respect and appreciation for the business.More
I had a very nice business dinner at this restaurant. We ordered a big porterhouse steak to share and it was delicious. It’s must to try the Macadamia Turtle Pie as a dessert. The service was good and we had a nice evening.
We have been coming here for years and always eat in the bar area and we are always satisfied. Service is always impeccable. Food is always tasty and just a great bar atmosphere. The Beef tenderloin sliders are the best in the world get blue...cheese on top and it tops them off just right. This is a perfect place to eat when flying in and out of O’Hare because you can stay at the Hilton embassy suites across the street or Doubletree connected to this wonderful restaurant.More
We were staying at the hotel and therefore decided to check out the restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it was! I had the steak tenderloin salad. All of the meals that came out looked great. There was no shortage of staff working...at the restaurant. They seemed to have plenty of people running around and waiting on people. Our waiter was really nice and attentive. They also offered to bring out the cuts of steak to show us. The manager stopped by our table to check on us and provided his card. It was busy but we didn’t have any issue with getting a table, but there was a line when we went to leave. They also have a bar area as well. My only complaint is that it was hot in the restaurant and freezing in the bathroom. Oh and it is a little startling when they sing the happy birthday song, be prepared!More
There is no better place to eat near the airport - at least not in my experience. Best of all, you don't feel like its an airport experience- its just a great Chicago steakhouse with a really professional waitstaff. Great for airport area meetings or...joining up with a friend before leaving on a plane ( or arriving from one).More
I attended Midwest Furfest 2022 “HEROES” Furry Convention in the Rosemont area December 1st to 4th, and wanted to thank an individual who helped me fursuit and be my ‘handler’ on Sunday of MFF. His fursona name is “Tickle Pig,” and he helped me look...good and I truly appreciated his company on the last day of the con, from the planned photoshoot to walking around the vast conspace of The Hyatt Regency and Rosemont Convention Center. After MFF Closing Ceremonies, I went back to my room at Aloft Hotel to get out of fursuit, dress up and meet “Tickle Pig” at Gibson’s Steakhouse located at Doubletree Hotel (“Tickle Pig” and his roomie “Crisp” stayed at Doubletree.) We got there an hour before closing, but we were not rushed at all during our dining experience. Our waiter came out with uncooked meats and lobster on a plate to show the choices available, and that was a nice touch. I chose Filet Mignon, as I was tired of eating overpriced ‘cafeteria’ fast food options that popped up throughout the con. If I was gonna spend good money for a meal, it would be here and something I would enjoy. I certainly did!! I had the Filet Mignon that was good perfectly with a side of grilled asparagus which made it a worthy combo, while “Tickle Pig” and his roomie friend from Dallas “Crisp Wolf” enjoyed BBQ Ribs with fries. Waiter kept coming back to fill our water glasses, and was friendly and attentive. No room for dessert, as that Filet Mignon was ‘Spot On!’ The bill was higher than expected, but I didn’t mind (Crisp paid for his own meal.) Overall, this was a good choice for the time remaining we had on a Sunday night. It was a good ending to my MFF experience, as the con was good yet difficult that I won’t explain here. You learn from moments like these when attending the World’s Largest Furry Convention, with 14,000 attendees. Kudos to our waiter and staff of this fine establishment - As we left the restaurant, we were amazed by their Wall of Fame of celebrity photos who had dined at Gibson’s throughout the years. From a special occasion to thanking a friend who helped some old fursuiter with a difficult task, Gibson’s is a great choice. FIVE CLAWS UP HIGH!!!!! Thanks for reading my review of Gibson’s Steakhouse inside the Doubletree Hotel in Rosemont (Chicago) IL. Joe G. Bear (MFF ‘22 Review)More
Ah- Mazing!!!!! Food and service are the best! Faisal was our server and he made us feel as if he was our very own personal attendant!! Always there when anyone needed anything and super helpful while ordering. The food arrived and covered our table with...loads of tempting goodness. Order your sides carefully, the portions are made for 3 people! The Chicago style bone in Ribeye was so good I felt like I was treating myself to a lavish dessert more than a main course!! In my 5 or 6 trips to Chicago, this was the best meal and service all wrapped up into one! Treat yourself and go see Faisal at Gibson’s in Rosemont tonight!!More
An incredible meal at Gibson’s. We shared the lobster and a steak with sides of mushrooms and mashed potatoes. Gibson’s staff were extremely knowledgeable and happy to offer ideas and even catered to a vegetarian amongst us. If you really love your steak, then Gibson’s...is for you.More
My meal was fantastic(Chilean sea Bass). I know, who gets seafood at a steak house but I absolutely love sea Bass. Service and atmosphere were incredible. After a long day downtown it was so nice to just sit and relax with a nice glass of...good wine. I will definitely be back.More
We were attending a nearby conference and enjoyed two lunches here. OMG, everything was spot on. Food, ambiance and especially service. Over the two days we ate in the bar area and had Martini's, Pinot Noir, Filet Sliders, Sauteed Mushrooms, Crab/Avocado and Shrimp Cocktails and...they were all perfectly executed. The filet sliders melted in your mouth and flavorful. The bartenders were excellent at executing perfect Bombay Saffire Martini's. Especially impressive was experiencing the manager, Vince, checking in on every customer and giving us his biz card - nice touch. This is a new go-too place for us and they will have our business going forward. Yes a bit expensive, but worth every dollar - great value. Looking forward to our next visit.More
Never had a bad experience at this special restaurant. We enjoyed a avocado crab appetizer, wedge salad, filet, and carrot cake for dessert. Mind you, the portion sizes are so very generous that we shared the appetizer and salad. Their dessert easily are enough for...the table. Most importantly the steaks were cooked to perfection. Our waiter was wonderfully attentive and knowledgeable of the menu.More
