We went with a large group on a Saturday night, and the Hofbrauhaus was packed and full of energy. The beer was great, and the food was authentic and plentiful. From cheese and meat platters or potato pancakes as appetizers, to various brats and kraut for entrees, we all shared a large number of menu items. The staff was fun... More

The live entertainment is engaging and good food for casual dining. Love the beers and their German dishes are spot on.

Had dinner with a business associate at this restaurant. The service was overall good and the food came out fairly quick. We did ask for suggestions but was not giving much advise about the menu. The food was good but nothing special all but the portion was large. We also had the beer made in house which was not bad.... More

Came here to try a different venue and ambiance. It was very interesting - the staff are dressed and they are all friendly! A little bit noisy but what do you expect at a place that serves good beer! Bratwurst options? ask the server if you are not familiar - the snitzel is good!

This was a fun place, although noisy, for a group business dinner. I love the big huge pretzel and we all enjoyed our meals. I had the pork Schnitzel which was very large, tender and tasty. The German potato salad was also good. I would go again, it was a fun place.

The Village Hall is a wonderful area in Rosemont, IL. We walked from our hotel after our convention ended for the day to find many restaurants surrounding this beautiful village area. Most eateries had a 1-2 hour wait so we went into the Hofbrauhaus. It's a unique experience-very true to German style. A bit loud for our taste and the... More

German beer hall food a plenty. Brats, pork, snitzel and my favorite chicken with mushroom gravy and spatzle. Yummy. Pretzels make a great appetizer. Star attraction here is the beer. Brewed in house and served in a beer hall atmosphere. Band really makes it fun. Hoist a stein and enjoy! Only reason not five stars is that it is overpriced.

Nothing like the real place in Munich but they try. Get beer and a pretzel. Enjoy the band. Been there more than once. Would go again but it gets old after a few visits.

We arrived at around 5 p.m. on a Saturday and the five of us were able to get a seat. Understand that if you don't have a reservation you'll likely end up sharing a large table with strangers. The place is massive and there was a festive vibe to it, so that was all good. First, their January dark beer... More

It is hard to compete with moms cooking...we may seem expensive but we don't charge cover and the musicians are from Germany and play every night. Thank you Jim GM More

Description
Hofbrauhaus Chicago is the first and only German micro brewery, beer hall, restaurant and beer garden to call Chicago home. Modeled after the legendary Hofbrauhaus in Munich, Germany, it takes pride giving you an experience as authentic and unforgettable as the 400-year-old original. Guests can savor schnitzels, sausages, Sauerbraten and pretzels, and some ingredients are even imported from abroad. The freshly brewed beer follows the purity law from 1516 using original recipes handed down by the Duke of Bavaria over 400 years ago. With its beer hall (Schwemme), King Ludwig Room, and Biergarten in summer, it's Oktoberfest every day. Hofbrauhaus Chicago also features live music nightly with bands from Germany and Austria. In addition, you can take a piece of Bavaria home from the gift shop stocked with authentic and unique Bavarian gifts & collectibles.
