I found this an okay Chinese restaurant. Standard menu, largely Cantonese but with some Sichuan dishes. Egg rolls were excellent and got my hopes us. But the hot and sour soup was overly thickened and somewhat bland. The Cantonese style chow mein was too salty and with a too thick sauce, almost like gravy.

Nicely decorated, especially at Christmas, but it is cold sitting by the windows. Food is excellent, and we always are bringing home enough for one or two more meals from our individual dinners. Service can be a little slow. Seems they are overly dependent on one Chinese server, who is great as he generally memorizes your order without writing anything... More

Best Chinese food around. Get it to go a lot and always fresh and always over flowing with food. Great size portions! Recommend sesame chicken

I have had both carryout and ate in their different restaurants throughout the Lincolnway area for 30+ years. Glad to see they've expanded their locations because their food is so good. My favs are General Tsao Chicken and Mongolian Beef. The beef is beyond tender. Very generous portions of food, so much so that you have enough for another meal.... More

We like Rising Sun sweet n sour chicken, pork, egg rolls and pork fried rice! We do find it inconsistent though. Sometimes it's really good and other times its just ok! I guess it depends who's cooking!

The food at Rising Dun is delicious. You get ample amount of food. The lunch menu is a very good deal. We have never had a dish we didn't like. The take out service is quick. Try this eatery next time you have a taste for Chinese.

Visited for lunch while on business. Food was tasty and the portion was enough for two or three. Chicken was tender and tasty.

Ordered two dinners, chicken fried rice and a order of egg rolls and the cost was $45.45. I thought this was a little high considering other same type of cuisine restaurants much cheaper. (Example) You can go to Gung Ho in Downers Grove and sit down for four complete meals including egg rolls and soup for about the same price... More

they have the best egg rolls and their sweet sauce is the best. The beef chow-mein is so great you can cut te beef with a fork. Nice staff if you eat in.

I will say there are some GREAT things on the menu, and there are some average things on the menu. I'm leaving this review for a couple of reasons. The service was very good, kind friendly and willing to satisfy a customer above and beyond from what some other places wouldn't do. The Egg Roles there are AMAZING, the sweet... More
