Had an evening meal. Personal preference meant the menu was not to my taste. Huge portions and had goujons and chips. Served promptly and tasty. One small criticism was not enough dip. Otherwise a good, cheap meal.

Great place for a bottle of wine at the fireside on a saturday afternoon with the family. Try the peppered steak & chilli fries 🍔

Had some free time and called in for a quick lunch. Very homely and food great. It was a cold day and the two fires in the lounge were so welcoming.. definitely recommend this either for a relaxing drink or lunch.

My husband & myself brought friends who were visiting from England here for a meal on Tuesday of this week & to say we were dissppointed is an understatement. We just had a light lunch of homemade broth, I don't think I've ever seen such a thin plate of soup in my life, the barley in my dish was non-existent.... More

Eat here quite often but in bar downstairs, quite casual dining, but this was the first time eating upstairs New Years Eve. Took friends who are used to fine dining, not sure how they would think, but were impressed with food, entertainment good and atmosphere very good.

called in for a bite of lunch but unfortunately they had stopped serving, was looking forward to eating in this place as I had heard so much about it. So in future I will arrive between 12 and 2:30 or else after 5:00pm. The bar restaurant was warm and friendly with an open fire great on a cold day. Stayed... More

I dropped by for a pint and was impressed about the pub, the surrounds, the staff and the beer. Good selection and impressive menu. Will be back for food.

excellent food, good local produce, I went for the mixed grill, whatever you do don't have a starter unless your really hungry. Staff very friendly, good local atmosphere. Prices excellent considering the amount of food you get. I will be back.
