Visiting family in Melrose Park we came to Danny's for lunch. This was our second time here as the first time was excellent. The Italian food and sandwiches are authentic, fresh and homemade. Our server Sonia was very personable and prompt. The restaurant is famous for their Fried Meatball Sandwich that is a must for anyone visiting. All in all... More

Went for lunch and had the lasagna special which was good and soup was included (soup was very good). Service was excellent. It was nice to be greeted by the owner when you walk in the door. The sour cream cheesecake is a must (outstanding). Everything was freshly made you could tell. This was our first time here and will... More

The food here is pretty good, not the best I have ever had but not bad, pretty much average. Flavors are good, sauce tastes homemade. A few things will aggravate you-like the price on the menu for Fruitti de mare is $14.95 but it is really $18.95, Seriously, why don't they update the menu-that is a huge difference. Also, be... The chicken Piemonte is my favorite. It's always prepared perfectly. I'm also obsessed with soup and Dannys has the best escarole and bean and pasta fagoli. Their pasta dishes are also great. Lots of options for a great lunch or dinner. I Love to eat at Dannys

Unpretentious, delicious, inexpensive authentic Italian fare. We got there early on a weeknight, and as we ate, watched more seniors and families arrive. That's not a knock. This is real Melrose Park, and real Italian food for real people. You can get better, but you can also spend more and not get nearly as good. This is a family operation,... More

Danny's is a great place when you don't feel like getting dressed up to enjoy some good homemade Italian cuisine. The restaurant is also a deli but we didn't try that part of Danny's so I can't comment on that. I was here for the first time with 3 friends and all of us really liked our main courses. My... More

We were greeted as soon as we walked in by the owner, Vito. Very friendly and made us feel at home. We started with the calamari which was the best I've ever had. We had several different pasta dishes and the chicken parmesan and each came with soup. Each dish was absolutely delicious and each portion was very large. When... More

Food is high quality and at good price points. Portion sizes are large and service was very good when we went for lunch. Dining area is small and not upscale but is a nice casual restaurant located within the residential area on Melrose Park. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

The linguini &clams are perfect! Don't miss the famous fried meatball sandwich, Order it with a slice of Provolone! The fried calamari is the best my Husbands ever had. Light and crunchy batter! It's a little out of the way , but well worth the trip!

This place has a italian flair but has a great smelt dinner. Portions are always doggie bag and you can get extra marinara sauce. Love the homemade pasta, gnocchi, lasagna, eggplant parmesan, and a good selection of sandwiches. They also offer take out and catering choices.
