The family style dinner you can get here is one of the best things. It is all you can eat and it is brought to your table! You don't have to wait in lines and fight the crowds. It is fresh made and on the table before you can ask.

The lodge is very rustic and beautiful. Ate here for dinner and we opted for the "all you can eat fried chicken". It came with all the fixins'..of coleslaw, mashed potatoes, dumplings, biscuits, gravy, corn and grean beans. We were stuffed when we left. Reasonably priced for what you got at $11.99 each. We also ate the breakfast buffet. I... More

We went to dinner on a Monday night while camped in the park. We were surprised by how many people were there. Mostly families with several family groups. It's a big place and well staffed, so no waits and great service. We had the family style chicken dinner because that's what they're know for, but there are many tempting items... More

Didn't impress. Feels grimy. I think it is difficult to find decent food in such a remote location. I would not go back

The park is great and we had an awesome hiking experience, so we decided to eat there. Read a lot of nice reviews so I didn't expect to be that much disappointed, specially bringing friends of mine there. We've been at the buffet and honestly I'm not a fried chicken fan but everything else was so awful we could eat... More

The lodge and cabins at Giant City State Park have a lot of history in them. The lodge was built by the CCC back in the 1930s and has been maintained very well. Different levels of hiking here in the park and in the surrounding area within 30 miles. Good for a long weekend or mid week hike. Trails in... More

Ate here for our 43rd Wedding Anniversary. We were staying at a local Cabin and decided to have the fried chicken dinner for our anniversary dinner. It was excellent and the service was great.

The food and service is excellent here. The All You Can Eat dinners are like a buffet brought right to your table. The waitresses just keep refilling the bowls as they become empty. The chicken dinner included:chicken, corn, seasoned green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, apple butter, and drink. It was absolutely wonderful.

I think an excellent rating is correct for this restaurant because of the beauty of the building. The log building is on a scenic site. The inside is wood throughout. I believe the operation has been serving guests since the 1930s. Parts of the dining area have windows that over look the scenic site. If the restaurant had nearby competitors... More
