Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Located underwater, the restaurant offers amazing views of the rich and colourful marine life around the reefs. The views satisfy your visual appetite while the food fills the tummy.

This restaurant is all about the experience. From the welcome drink to the table, food and views. The quality of the food was great. Relatively expensive however well worth it. We enjoyed it so much so that we went again during our stay.

My husband and I visited this restaurant for lunch and it was the most beautiful restaurant we have ever been to! The food was good and unique. They do not have many tables so make sure to reserve in advance as this is not a...place to miss out on. They have a book at every table so you can learn about all the reef fish that you see - my husband enjoyed this a lot. There was an abundant of aquatic animals so it was very nice. They grow their own corals down there as well. If you're in the area then definitely check out this restaurant!More

Exceeded expectations. They stack up reef around the restaurant so there are a huge array of exotic fish. The restaurant is included in many longer stay packages (or at least in 2021)

Dinner is more expensive... The place is indeed beautiful but the prices are over the top. For that sum, I'd expect not just to see sharks swimming by - I'd want to be served by one!

This is a must visit during your stay. Do choose the breakfast and enjoy a morning meal alongside the maldivian marine life. If you stand lucky you may encounter turtles, dolphins, rays or even sharks that will make your breakfast even more unique. The best...overall restaurant in the whole world.More

My 40th birthday lunch was at Sea Underwater Restaurant. Amazing food, great view. View that only scuba diving can get you normally but enjoyed it with Dom Perignon in my hand.

We were very fortunate to have 2 experiences of this magical restaurant. Our first was to enjoy Ringo Royale cocktails and canapes late afternoon as the light changed from day to night. Our second visit was at 0830 am for a sumptuous breakfast that included...eggs Benedict with lobster and foie gras - what better way to start the day. The SEA restaurant is on the edge of a natural reef with truly breathtaking views, we must have seen over 100 different species of fish including Eagle rays and a turtle. In our opinion morning is the best time to visit, as the suns rays stream through the water and the fish are in abundance. Mr Sugar and his team are very welcoming, extremely professional and offer those personal touches that add to this truly "once in a lifetime" jaw dropping experience. If its not already, put this restaurant on your bucket list, one not to be missed.More

We had breakfast and from what I recall there was A/C on. We didn't have any problem with the temperature. I believe there is no dinner there. There wasn't any on the schedule. Only breakfast lunch and wine tasting session.

Yes you can. I just did that last week, was staying at Westin, about 30mins boat to this place. You can also ask the hotel to arrange a sea plane transfer.

My advice, just email or call the Anantara resort directly and ask. I didn't hear of anyone doing this but they do have several launches at the resort to ferry people to the north airport for example.
