Great location in the Homestead! Enjoyed the simple elegance, friendly service and amazing Barramundi and roasted cauliflower. Special treat to sit in front of the fireplace while dining. Definitely a jewel! The macadamia crusted grouper and Brussel sprouts were also high on my list! My only negative is portions could be about 50% bigger.

The food is excellent..... Wonderful..... Try it and you will not be disappointed....Went for Bunch, the pumpkin pancakes were to die for, their dessert tray was a delight with melted chocolate being hand poured over the peanut butter mouse . Chicken Sausage and chicken with waffles were also great , per the rest of my dining party.... Go...have fun...

This is a hidden gem near Northwestern's campus. We had a wonderful brunch and Excellent service by Katherine and others. A very nice atmosphere with good music and a fireplace. Menu is creative. We had a complimentary scone and the hearts of palm omelette, crab cake benedict and chilaquiles which as like an egg tortilla. All were delicious. We highly... More

I've been to many restaurants in this location but Hearth is among the best. The main dining room is quiet and comfortable. We enjoyed several of the small plates like the avocado fries and the tuna poke as well as the several of the entrees. The beef tenderloin was served in a mushroom cream sauce over garlicky spätzle. Good service... More

We ordered carrot soup, cerviche, pork shoulder and chicken. All were excellent. Several main dishes come in half portions which suited one member of our party's appetite perfectly. Service was good and we could all talk to each other without having to yell. Overall, a very pleasant evening.

We came based on a strong reccomendation from a friend. This is a fun restaurant in a hotel. Not great signage, so make sure you keep an eye open while on Hinman. It is worth a visit. We had a few small plates including the shrimp ceviche, the crab cake and jambalaya. All were outstanding. Service was great. We will... More

The hearth offers a nice balanced menu- fish, meats, veggie. We ordered the scallop appetizer which had flavored cauliflower puree sauce. For entrees we ordered the halibut and duck breast. The halibut was perfectly done, fresh, and light. The duck breast was a bit underdone (for my taste) and the raspberry sauce gave it a nice flavor. All of the... More

When I read Hearth's menu, I thought it was a bit on the "organic " side. I was pleasantly surprised at the excellent food. Our party of four tried all different dishes. Everything was delicious. We shared appetizers, everyone had a main course and we split the pecan tart for dinner, which was buttery and worth every calorie. One of... More

Very disappointing restaurant. Food was mediocre and had about as much ambiance as a Burger King. Even the wine pours were skimpy, not what one would expect from a moderately-priced restaurant. The food was mediocre.

Sensually satisfying food, spot-on service, and you can speak in your indoor voice! We had the pork belly appetizer (meaty and shareable), the gnocchi with garden-fresh vegetables (some raised on their roof), and the veal saltimbocca (which lived up to its mouth-watering name.) We shared a pecan tart a la mode too; everything was superb. The executive chef seated us... More
