Not a bad try, pretty heavy meat and rice menu, when we went, but what we had was good. They have a nice little outdoor sitting area, but can get a little loud, because it's on the Ashland road side and it's a busy street. No booze sold and don't remember if it was byob, but they do serve some... More

I enjoyed the food at Machu Picchu. The menu is varied and the service is good. They do not sell alcohol , but they allow you to bring your own liquor. Parking is an issue, as it is with most places that are in Chicago. They do not have their own parking lot, so you have to find your own... More

I have not had the chance to try Peruvian food prior to last night. It may have been my first experience, but definitely will not be my last. Machu Picchu has much to offer. First of all street parking is accessible and plentiful, which is so refreshing in Chicago! The restaurant itself is warm and inviting. Our starter was a... More

I was excited to visit the restaurant in a very cool neighborhood. The food was ok and the dessert of chocolate cake was not fresh. The staff was very nice and attentive and most accommodating. I may try again later

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful meal at this delightful restaurant. I had the Lomo Machu Picchu which was a filet mignon with spicy diced potatoes and steamed vegetables. I ordered rare steak. It was perfectly cooked and it had a wonderful spicy flavor. The potatoes were delicious and the steamed vegetables were crisp and not overcooked. My wife... More

Who knew when my first choice Peruvian place was booked up I'd find something perhaps I'll get my one quibble -- no liquor license -- out of the way. After that, it was great. The person at the grill is a master. Our steak bested anything Morton's or Ruth's Chris could turn out, both in quality and seasoning. The grilled... More

I had two days to visit Chicago, and I'm not sure how I was able to do so much in such a small time frame. And even so, I still had a bunch of things to see and do! It was late and I wanted something to eat, and since I was in the north side of the city, I... More

We visited Chicago for vacations. We have tasted all traditional Chicago foods and we would like to have something different. So we decided to taste Peruvian kitchen. The restaurant was amazing and the service was great. The dishes were absolutely delicious. The Peruvian kitchen is amazing with a lot of sea food. If you visit Chicago you have to visit... More

After trying other Peruvian restaurants in the city we gave Machu Picchu a try last night. It was not a good experience and it was very disappointing. The service was ridiculously slow - they were busy, but not that busy and they should have been prepared. The quality of the food was not very good. We ordered one of the... More
