Late Sunday we needed something for dinner and had carryout at Elephant and Castle. The Poutine was delicious and there was plenty for the next day!

We stayed next door at the Virgin and ate here twice. They have a good selection of beers and the food is above average pub fare. The fish and chips were great, and the onion soup and appetizers were also very good. Relaxed English ambiance was very relaxing after a long day of walking. Considering we're in the loop, the... Recently ate here for lunch on a Saturday. Surprisingly there was no wait when we arrived. I liked that there were several brunch options in addition to normal pub dishes. I had the French toast which was delicious and my husband had a burger. Service was quick and friendly. Neat ambiance but I wouldn't call it an authentic English pub--more... More

I had dinner alone at the Elephant & Castle pub on a Monday evening. I was promptly seated at a comfortable booth with a great view of the crackling fire in the fireplace. The waiter was the right amount of attentive and helpful, and the food - pita bread and hummus, shepherd's pie, and a glass of wine - was... More

I had the butter chicken poutine and I enjoyed it. It had just enough spice. It wasn't the best butter chicken, but it was still good. Beer prices were a bit steep. Food, well priced.

We visited the 'Elephant & Castle' restaurant/pub just for a few beers the other day whilst walking around Chicago. The place is set up as a British restaurant/bar.... but in good taste with a British themed decor. Good choice of food on the menu with a selection of 'traditional' British dishes. Staff were all friendly, apart from the lady behind... More

My wife and I ate at the Elephant and Castle Pub and Restaurant on North Wabash in Chicago last night. It was a fun night. The service was great, and the food was pretty darned good. There was one downer, but I'll get to that. First, there's a nice ambiance at work here. There was a fireplace with a nice... More

Thanks for reviewing. We are delighted to offer GF Buns but we are at the mercy of the market in what is available. Udi is the best we can get in our market. We usually offer a Twinings Breakfast Tea, but it appears the location was out of product at the time of your visit, sorry. Thanks again for reviewing.... More

A friend and I were in Chicago to see Hamilton. After arriving late Friday night, we headed to breakfast Saturday morning only to find our chosen spot had an hour and a half wait. We walked around trying to find another place to eat and stumbled across Elephant & Castle. I'm so glad we did. The brunch menu was small,... More

The nice restaurant had the best poutine I've found outside of Canada (and I've tried many). I will be back!
