Each course told a story. Waiter, sommelier were knowledgeable AND had a sense of humor. Many of the parings were unexpected. Some we didn't enjoy but we appreciated the thought behind it. Amazing white Italian truffles. Very expensive add, but worth every penny. Dessert was whimsical and fun. We took pictures of every course, each one was artistic perfection. I... More

Alinea is an excellent place where every single dish is great in taste and presentation. A beautiful setting, impeccable service and friendly atmosphere. Wine pairing is good and the latest innovation with no money exchange makes the experience of visiting Alinea even more pleasurable. Obviously, price per person is sky high and it is not your every day or every... More

My husband and I have been to Alinea twice (once pre-renovation and one post-renovation. Both experiences were incredible. Dining at Alinea delights all of your senses. From the moment you walk in, each encounter is used to shape your dining experience. The food is delicious and unique and presented in a way that challenges your preconceptions of food. My favorite... More

I don't go to these places too often. But when I do I truly appreciate the experience. I am never too old to learn something new and wonderful. I don't remember all my great meals but this one was great. Expensive but worth it... open your mind to astonishment.

Alinea is by far the best restaurant in Chicago. The quality, creativity, and whimsy cannot be found elsewhere. Some of the dishes have gotten a bit repetitive for us, having gone around 10 times in the 10+ years it's been open, but the flavor and taste never disappoint. Chef Achtez has a mind filled with food ideas you never can... More

I came expecting a lot and was not disappointed. It was by far the most creative, well served and beautiful dinner my wife and I had ever had. Alinea burst the bubble(literally and figuratively) on my molecular gastronomy naiveté. It was also the most expensive so you get what you pay for. I feel like I could write about book... More

This is one of the top 10 restaurants in the US. Many course meals for 3 or more hours and expensive and must reserve months in advance.

I had been debating whether to go to Alinea for some time. I'm a foodie. I eat, I cook, I drink and I've been around. I took my three children aged 21, 20 and 14. A splurge, I guess, but I wanted to share the experience with them. We all loved it. I have been to several 1,2 and 3... More

Alinea definitely lived up to the hype. The aromas that came out of every dish, amazing. The staff/waiters were great. It's a once in a lifetime experience, but we will back.
