this place is superb. Great food at great prices. the Burger and Fries was simple yet amazing without breaking the bank. The only thing that challenged this for the best the place has to offer is the service. A real family feel about it which is brilliant. Couldnt recommend it higher.

This historic bar has been visited by a lot of mayors, democrats, and people like me who were on their way to US Cell Field. Not the most expensive of places serving good beer at reasonable prices, along with some pretty tasty food. Decor isn't the strong point, anyone wanting to visit a old fashioned bar in Chicago should head... More

The food is always great and friendly atmosphere. You feel like you are among friends. Whenever I am in Bridgeport I always stop there. Soup is delicious also.

We stopped by Schaller's Pump after a baseball game because of the hype about it being the oldest bar in Chicago and it having good food. It very well might be the oldest bar, but you can't really tell it. And as for the food, go somewhere else! We had a burger, a sandwich, and the special and they were... More

Shaller's in its heyday was a much sought after place, especially for fried chicken dinners and plentiful meals. Sadly I was in there on a weekday for lunch and it was not for dinner - there is a larger back room for dinner patrons and only about 8 tables out in the front or you can sit at the bar.... More

What a great stop on the way to the game. Advertised as the oldest restaurant in Chicago. Atmosphere has maintained it's original decor & flavor. Very frenzy waitress. Prompts we ice. Good food. Enjoy!

Every dinner comes with soup or salad - Love the Chicken Noodle Soup. Salads are a good size so you still have room for a mighty tasty dinner. Ribeye Steaks - Chicken Parm are my favorites. Once in a while I have the Prime Rib - Excellent - Always go home with left overs for the next day. I have... More

Built in 1881, this place definetly has character. The cheeseburger is hand patted and absolutely delish! It is a must if you are in this neighborhood!

Oldest bar in Chicago, what great history, wonderful service, people could not be friendlier, had the burger, it was perfect, friend had the special of breaded pork with mashed potatoes, delicious, can't believe we have never been here before, great food at reasonable prices, even stayed for a drink at the bar, this is a classic local bar at its...
