We are looking for Filipino restaurant in town and we saw this place. We had Longganisa and Bangus, it was so good feels like we are back home. We had little chit chat with Uncle Mike, This person is very down to earth and very accomodating. Thank you so much for welcoming us with my cousin. Amazing customer service and... More

My friends and I had lunch at this fabulous restaurant today. The food and service was superb. We were able to meet Uncle Mike, the owner, personally. He is such a sweet, gracious and gentle person. I highly recommend this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. Try the skirt steak with baby bangus. Thank you so much Uncle Mike. I now... More

Stayed downtown for the evening and instead of eating breakfast at the hotel- convinced my husband to eat at .Uncle Mike's Place. They serve American breakfast fare as well, but come for the Filipino breakfast- 2 eggs, garlic fried rice and your choice of loganisa(Filipino sausage), Tocino (wine marinated pork shoulder- my fave), Spam fried crisp and spicy, skirt steak... Had another breakfast at Uncle Mikes this past Sunday. Our group arrived by 8:30am and shortly thereafter, there was a line waiting to get seated. C'mon, what is not to love about tocino, w/over easy eggs over garlic rice, tasty delicious as always! I know some folks come for the skirt steak and it is good but give me the... More

Straight from the airport we had breakfast here as this is highly recommended by the husband's good friend. It was yum!! You'll have lugaw (as we call it in Filipino) or rice porridge as appetizer plus champorado as dessert. Carbs overload. We love it here. Plus, their waiters are friendly.

I will keep coming back to this place whenever I am in Chicago. They served authentic filipino breakfast. Everything in one plate with one price. Easy 5 star ratings. For taste, presentation & completeness. But wait, they also served american food.

This is the place for Filipino breakfast in Chicago hands down! My family loves this place and the portion are huge-always a big plus. Love what we call arroz caldo, which comes before the meal. I usually get the tocino and loganisa with eggs and the best garlic fried rice; sorry Dad! Meals also come with chocolate rice and side... More

This is the first resto we went to during our first visit to Chicago. I ordered the bangus (small), and the plate was huge. The plates came with lugao, and a little cup of champorado, which was awesome! Will definitely come back. Uber your way here! Thanks uncle Mike!

First time visit. I'll definitely want to eat here again! Loved their fried milkfish with the good mixture of garlic vinegar. Fried rice right on target for a non-filipino experience. For a filipino experience, suggestion for uncle mike to offer more garlic fried rice to balance the meat ratio. Tocino and longanaisa (filipino sausage) decent, especially if you are not... More

My nephew visiting from San Francisco heard about this place so I took him to this restaurant for breakfast. We were not disappointed. The steak had a wonderful marinade and the sausage was good as well. The complimentary arroz con caldo was light soup to start the meal. The owner, Mike, was gracious and came to our table for a...
